February Ipsy Glam Bag Review
Hi everyone! Thanks for coming back for another Ipsy review! For those who don't know, Ipsy is a $10 monthly subscription bag. You get five items based on a few questions, and all for a much lower price than if you were to buy it all yourself. They are sample/travel sizes, but it is only $10 a month. So you pretty much get what you pay for and more. Okay, review time!

My Senior Year from Hell
Senior year, the best year of your life... or so they say. The year started like everyone else's, walking in the doors of my high school for the last time, saying "hi" to my friends that were gone all summer and of course, chirping our favorite teachers.

Waves
I have a phobia of drowning, and when that first wave crashed down on me, I panicked. It took me under the water and spun me around like I was a leaf floating in the air. I tried holding my breath, focusing on which way was up. When I touched bottom, I kicked off, but only to be twisted around again. Another wave had pierced the surface and started stirring up its contents, including me. My lungs burned and felt tight.

An Open Letter to My Mother
I want to start by saying I'm sorry. I'm so sorry that, throughout my childhood, I took you for granted. I took you being there for granted. You were, and still are, the best mother a girl could have. You taught me how to cook, how to live, and defend myself.

Who to Blame
I grew up with my grandparents as my parents. My mom wanted to only be a part-time parent and my dad got sent to jail when I was four. So rather than force my mother to be a mother, my grandmother just took me in. My childhood was a very gifted childhood...materialistically. But emotionally, it wasn't the best. Grandma and grandpa did their best, knowing mom wasn't the best person, nor was she fit; they did everything in their power to keep me happy. I went to good schools, I had good clothing, I had no needs unmet; but what I didn't have was my mom.

Is Your Dog Fat...?
It can be a rather touchy subject for a lot of people, but the truth is, by spoiling our fur babies, we may actually be doing them far more harm then good. Nowadays, there is a rather weird attitude around dogs and their weight; a chubby dog is thought of as cute and adorable, etc., when in reality, allowing your dog to become overweight can be almost cruel. Our dogs can have many of the same side effects of being overweight that we can, such as diabetes, joint problems, skin problems, some cancers; it affects their mobility and general quality of life. Overweight dogs tend to have a much shorter life span and will likely end up costing you big time at the vet. Now, let's be clear—no dog owner is knowingly being cruel when they have an overweight dog. Like I said, there is a strange attitude around the subject and most people are just not knowledgeable about it. How can a few extra treats or some table scraps hurt them, right? Turns out more than you think.
