The Struggles of the Modern Writer. Top Story - November 2017.
When I was younger, ideas of being a middle-school author floating about in my head between worries about my terrible grades and just how I was to build a fort in a backyard so small and close to other houses, I thought about how lucky I was.

A Recommendation of Sorts
Hey there fellow writers, I'm back. This is the continuum to my introductory piece, "On How I Found My Voice," over in Education. So you don't feel lost, I'd suggest reading that baby before you dive into this little list of recommendations.

My Life as a Born Again Culinarian
I went to culinary school because I love food. But not just any food. I love greasy homestyle comfort food that mama used to make. The real version of Southern cooking, not that Ree Drummond crap you see all over. The Pioneer Woman ruined culinary for me honestly, but thanks to a few select people, I managed to pull through.

Dealing with Uni Stress
So, today I did a big step and applied for university. I’m so nervous that I won’t get into anywhere and I’m sure many feel the same, but, don’t fret, these are some of the ways I deal with the stress and how to take my mind off things. I have anxiety so I understand how horrible it can feel to doubt yourself. You are amazing, there’s no need to put yourself down by thinking they won’t want you or someone could be better than you, the only person who can get you where you want to be is yourself and you have to strive to achieve the things you want in life.

Finding My Niche In The Business World
Like many others, I had finished school as a two time graduate. I made my mother proud but after College I really was lost!! I got a job working at a hospital as security in the Emergency and Trauma unit, along with studying for my Corrections Exam and working as a Bartender, Server and Manager at a restaurant. I know what you're thinking... how did I manage all that. Truth is i'm not quite sure myself, I just did it. I worked day shifts at the restaurant, took a nap went to the hospital from 7pm to 7am and studied on my breaks. My days off weren't really days off because that was when I found time to go to the gym, study and pick up extra side gig jobs. I was a MESS!!

One will find themselves asking if they do really exist and if they indeed do, how do they look like or what do they do all day long. It is not all about bye-laws and committee meetings, ya know. Believe me when I say that we do exist and I feel the pain of your curiosity. So, I shall try to speak for all current trainee solicitors in local government and educate you on who we are and what we do. Here are six things you might or might not know about our special breed.
