Writing Your First Online Piece
For many people, writing something and putting it online for people to see and read is a very daunting prospect. The thought of either someone reading your words and hating them, or worse, nobody reading them at all, is usually one of the main fears. However, my main thing to remember is that there are so many people who read tabloid crap every single day about boring things...so I’m sure there is at least someone out there who will read what you have to say.

My First Day in Hell #RetailTales
Like a lot of young adults, my first real job was in retail. I had a summer job a couple of years prior at my parents' workplace, but this was the first one I had applied for myself and wasn't handed to me on a plate. Before we dig into it, this is a true story.

Start Your Day as a Substitute Teacher the Right Way. Top Story - January 2018.
Being a substitute teacher is hard work. As a former full-time elementary school teacher, I was reminded of just how hard it can be to teach a class that isn't your own when I transitioned from teaching full time to becoming a stay at home mom and subbing part time. As a sub, I don't have time to build those relationships, so it is essential to start the day off on the right foot. Here are a few ways to start the day positively as a substitute teacher.

Hospitality
More often than not, I feel like people who work in hospitality deserve medals. Not only because of the physical demands of ten-hour shifts but also the surprisingly high concentration of assholes in this industry. This excerpt comes from the resignation email I sent to a well-known, London-based, Australian brasserie that is supposed to be an ethical and laid back place. Right.
