What Am I Even Doing?
Hi so my name is Jordan, I’m a freshman in college and I have no idea what I’m doing. And before you start with all the “oh sweetie nobody knows what they’re doing” crap lemme just say I /really/ don’t know what I’m doing. See I was homeschooled my whole life. Not the homeschooling where I live in the attic and only wear the clothes I make from fabric I wove with the silk I milked from my worm garden kinda homeschooled, but I was still homeschooled. I was used to waking up around 9 or 10, grabbing breakfast, going back to bed and maybe flipping through some assignments only to finish them like the day before they were due without any hang ups. See I had classes online and classes in person, but they only ever met once a week.

As an experienced after school counselor I can tell you that children love to learn new languages as it gives them something to show off to their friends and family. However, it can be difficult for adults to know how to teach a new language to children in a way that is both fun and educational.

My Journaling Adventure

Drawing and painting was something that I have loved and would always be doodling, painting, drawing either on paper or on a canvas. Sometimes drawing would help me remember certain things in when it came to studying for school. Then I discovered a new form of art that I never thought I would express and that art was writing.

Applying for Jobs After College
So you spend most of your high school career trying to sound fancy to get into college; writing essays, going on tours, keeping up grades, being the best sport player. When you find the right school you spend the summer before figuring out how you’re going to pay for it, so you get a summer job, committed to get a job during school as well. You study and you work and make friends, have memories to tell your kids, and the next thing you know you’re walking the stage with a diploma with a degree that you’re not even sure you want anymore. You want the degree, just not in the field that you want, probably.

The Impact of a Leave Notice
Hello again, everyone! At a previous job, I got let go from a position due to a two-week notice, and that left me feeling bewildered and betrayed. What’s bad is that it wasn’t the manager to whom I gave the notice that let me go. She understood my situation. It was another manager that found out about it the next day that called my recruiters and told them to tell me not to come back.
