Samurai Jessie: Origins
A woman is walking down the street at night. She takes out her ear buds and puts one into her left ear. She starts listening to music and turns the corner. She wants to get home because it's late and she has to wake up to get to the airport in a few hours. There's no cars, no people, no lights coming from any windows on the street when two shadowy figures creep up a couple feet behind her. Two more shadowy figures appear from around the corner in front of her.

The Nocturne Chamber
I entered the bar late, late enough that the crowds had thinned out and only the stragglers remained. The speakers were droning some barely intelligible music, which was just loud enough to drown out the murmurs of the patrons there. Taking a seat at the bar next to a grizzled old man nursing a drink, I ordered a shot of whiskey and gulped it down, surveying the bar as my eyes watered from the sting. There were two other groups of people, two men at a table in the corner, and a man and woman in a booth on the side. Then there was the man next to me. He was the man I had come for, though he did not know it. I ordered another drink, and ordered another round for the man as well. He looked at me with surprise, and I raised my shot in a toast.

Do Real Fans Still Exist?
It feels like being a fan just isn't a thing anymore. I feel like devoted fans are a thing of the past. I was lucky enough to grow up in a generation where dedication to an artist still meant something, and here is why that, to me, was a blessing.

How 'Wonder Woman' Gave Me Hope for Women In Film
Walking into the theater, preparing myself to see the film that women have found so powerful, I had some pretty high expectations. I also had heard that many women had gotten pretty emotional while watching this film so I was anticipating feeling some sort of emotional wave that would pass through me as I first watched the film. Not only did I cry multiple times throughout the film, I discovered a new type of feeling of empowerment, a feeling that I have never felt before while watching a film in theaters.
