This outstanding tribute to the beloved Toriel from indie fan favorite videogame Undertale is just as much performance and dance as cosplay. So when the cosplay artist known as Arorea brought her to life at this year's Katsucon, the results were spellbinding.

Pokémon has been a staple for the last few generations of gamers, myself included. I grew up with the original collection of games: Red and Blue followed quickly by Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, FireRed, LeafGreen, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, Soul Silver, Black, White, Black 2, White 2 and finally X & Y. Through every additional game I was never disappointed by spending my money on these Pokémon games. I even went so far as to find the emulated versions of these games along with the unofficial roms and played them on my cell phone (I still have a couple installed).

If you grew up in the '90s and your tastes ran toward the dark, the action-y, and the unexpectedly deep, literate and meaningful, you probably rushed home every day after school to catch an animated series called Gargoyles on the Disney Channel. (If you've never heard of Gargoyles, it's what you might have watched if Batman: The Animated Series just didn't have enough magic, myth, social commentary, and actual freaking Shakespeare. An unlikely mix, but man, did it work.) And depending on where you hang out online, there's a good chance you've seen... a certain image floating around.
