Dare to Say No to Single-Use Plastic
If you’re like me, the idea that inorganic, non-biodegradable, single-use plastics are somehow the go-to packaging unit is just illogical; almost as illogical as seventeen states in our country having statewide ban preemptions or preventative measures restricting even the possibility of future bans of their use. As crazy as it may seem to some of us, we are still the ones allowing it. Therefore, the purpose of this article is not to place blame, rather, the purpose of this article is to establish personal accountability. Corporations use plastic because it is durable, inexpensive, and accepted by us all.

What do you know about sap? Before trying these drinks, I knew little to nothing about it. In my head, I always confused it with maple syrup. I’m aware that these two things are in fact, different, but I never had a reason to seek out any answers. I guess it was just one of those things I was comfortable in my confusion of. I knew it was sticky and came from trees. That’s as far as my knowledge went. So when I saw the Sap! variety pack of maple seltzer, maple soda and sparkling birch, I thought I could use this as a learning experience.

The sunlight slanted across my frequent haunt, the Palace Museum, in the early mornings of a beautiful spring. I satisfied my homesickness for Washington, D.C. by wandering through this temple to the arts. For the sake of the article, I’d also visited the typical tourist destinations of China, and was now preparing to tour various Buddhist temples in and around the city. I set out for Biyun Si, the Temple of the Azure Clouds. I never got to any temple beyond it.

My Ten Dollar Camera
Taking photographs has been a hobby of mine for over a decade and I am only 18. Clearly photography has evolved from a hobby of mine to a passion in that time. I began shooting with anything that had a camera whether that be my parents' cell phones or even my Nintendo DS. I moved onto taking photos with my iPod Touch when I wanted an upgrade. Within a few years I had a Sony Cybershot because it was my chance to take photographs on a device meant to take photographs. When I saved enough money, I then purchased a Nikon D3200 and thought I was a professional all of a sudden. Around this time I was also beginning to take photos on my first iPhone. By the time I was 16 my Nikon broke where the lens attaches to the body, so I had to save for and purchase a new one. This time I switched to Canon, and purchased a Rebel T6i. Since then, I have not purchased another digital camera, unless you consider iPhone upgrades.

Now this acid box used to just be some complete and utter accident that I made the first day I decided to do a collage art-style, which is basically finding a bunch of pictures and making them come together to form something completely different or completely random. I choose to make it look psychedelic and trippy because I like making art that makes people just say "WTF" out loud.
