My First Week on Vocal
I am not going to lie; I was a little skeptical when the Vocal ad came through my social media feed. Eventually, curiosity got the better of me and I clicked the bait, read the verbiage and decided to give it a try. I had been in on the early days of istockphoto when it was still a tiny Calgary-based disruptor in the stock photography industry before it was bought out by the giant, Getty Images. Because of my experience in this creative arena, I knew the value of both disruptors and micropayments firsthand. Volume is the key.

Copper Cow Coffee Review
New forms of coffee seem to crop up nearly every day, boasting convenience or better caffeine or a smoother taste. Vietnamese coffee isn’t new, but what makes Copper Cow interesting is the ability to make a smooth coffee that is travel friendly and doesn’t skimp on quality. I love Vietnamese coffee. I have to be careful with my dairy consumption, but I will always--I mean ALWAYS drink a Vietnamese coffee when I have the chance. As I’ve embarked on my coffee journey, I’ve tried any variety I could get my hands on. I can taste differences among different brewing methods, and I can sort of discern what is supposed to be “bad” coffee. This doesn’t stop me from drinking it, because I am indiscriminate when it comes to certain things, but I like being able to tell the difference. It shows I’m learning something about it.

An Open Letter to Trump On The Environment
President Trump, I fail to understand the reasoning behind your disregard for preserving the continued habitability of our planet. As a father, I would assume you are possessed of the basic paternal inclination to ensure the security of your own progeny. Yet, you disregard all subjects of environmental concern with a casual and disinterested contempt which can only be called lazy, arrogant, and entitled.

10 Women Who Inspire Me
In honor of March being Women's History Month I thought I would reflect on some of the women in my community who inspire me. Some of these women I've met personally, and some of them I admire from a distance- (I see you girl- keep doing you!). I think that as a woman it's important to honor and recognize when we see others doing something that inspires us. Even if it's something we would never pursue ourselves, the fact that watching someone else can give us the energy and motivation to create a life that we love living, is pretty amazing.

Becoming A NARP
Background The only thing a college athlete can do that is worse than losing is becoming a NARP. For those of you who don't know, NARP is an acronym for Non-Athletic Regular Person, or people who are not members of athletic teams. In college, even at a D3 school like mine, being on a sports team is a major status booster...especially if you're on a varsity team. You have instant friends, a support system, and get invited to all of the parties. So what would drive someone to give all of that up?

There are millions upon millions of songs around the world, to the point that some get missed out. How Can Marvel Use The X-Men?
For the past twelve years, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a mutant-free zone. And attempts to turn the Inhumans into the MCU's take on mutants ended up falling flat. The question everyone asks is, "is it too late?"

Fresh and Natural Homemade Facial Masks
. By: Marlene Affeld Let’s face it! “perfect skin” is hard to maintain. Winter winds, the sweltering heat and humidity of summer, dry air-conditioned air, pollens, pollution, fluctuating hormones, a nutritional deficit diet, and that “biggie” – stress; all take their toll.

Free Things to do in Paris
Let's face it. Paris is an expensive love to have. If it's not the endless supply of macarons and croissants draining your bank account, its those pricey exhibition tickets, trips to Disneyland and daily café au laits at quaint river-side cafes. Needless to say, Paris is not the cheapest of beautiful European cities. That said, it doesn't mean that it's not possible to travel around the City of Love on a budget!
