The Myth of Election Meddling
A Look Into the Email Hack Attack of Us Government Officials, How the Internet Is in Use to Alter Minds, and Why Forcing Social Media Sites to Adhere to a New Set of Rules Is Only the Beginning!

The trail of successful internet hacking, although not always the Russian kind, is pre-election 2016. The following example is only one of the many and goes back to 2012: The British hacker Gary McKinnon hacked the US Pentagon, but only because he was searching for evidence of UFO investigations. Most hackers with the skills would probably have given themselves a huge permanent paycheck! Instead, someone was recently busted because he manipulated McDonald's Monopoly game. Besides the big screen TV, he gave himself a lifetime supply of Big Mac's. To make matters worse, he was a police officer. I mean, our people have gotten pretty good at spotting hacking activity. It would be better if these guys hadn't been able to get through at all... UFO's and Big Mac's??
Cult Awareness
To even begin to understand how Facebook was used to meddle in the US Election 2016 (and other elections), you need to examine how cults work. Here is a pre-internet infiltration of our US Government:
A crime dubbed "Operation Freak Out" was carried out by members of an American-based cult who took various jobs in the government, such as office secretaries and security guards. They wanted to get inside the buildings, and well, what better way is there? You see, it started like this. Back during the 1960s, L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of The Church of Scientology, got pretty angry at the IRS for refusing to acknowledge his church as a tax exempt religious organization. They sent him a bill worth millions of dollars and charged him with tax evasion. In response, he decided to get some of his followers to help him seize documents, so he could better protect his own litigation against the IRS. When the FBI caught on, they initiated with their own little infiltration, "Operation Snow White." (Don't you love these names?) Well, it turned out to get pretty big! Hubbard was only one out of The Church's many members (including his wife) that were convicted of obstructing justice, burglary of government offices, and theft of documents and government property. Cult members (who also have to sign billion-year membership promises in order to join) also planted surveillance devices and recorded private internal meetings for Hubbard's later use. By 1980, both operations had come to a close. The FBI had found that The Church of Scientology hadn't just targeted the US, but hundreds of other embassies and government officials, as well as private organizations, in several countries. What they all had in common was a deep distrust for the cult and it's members. They had even targeted the National Mental Health Association AND the World Federation for Mental Health, just in case you were wondering how pissed The Church of Scientology got for getting outed as a cult!
The United States Pentagon gets help from Microsoft.
In 2016, names of several Russian email users were released by the United States FBI and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). These names were found to have been created by American companies that employed Russian hackers. Due to the hacking of email accounts that belonged to several politicians, Microsoft even set up a program that re-directs Russian phishing emails to Microsoft's specially programmed servers. Microsoft is awesome to help the Pentagon, and other foreign countries who have fallen victim, in order to battle this ongoing problem. I'm sure it's not a free service, but it shows they know none of the hacking is "fake news."

A Few of the Names Released by the Pentagon
In response, our now ex-President, Barack Obama, set new sanctions against Russian officials and kicked about 35 of the foreign hackers out of the United States. The Treasury Department also leveled new sanctions against some other Russian individuals that year.
Now, considering that the United States has the FBI, CIA, DHS, and NSA, and since World War I has kept a mass surveillance of its own people, I bet no one is too surprised about Russia's meddling. We have Area 51 that no one is even allowed near and there are areas across the globe that won't ever show up on satellite surveillance. I mean, really, everything is being scrubbed before consumption by civilian eyes! Russia's meddling is kind of an old tactic, between old enemies. Unlike the Electoral vote in Florida, for the US Election in 2000, which swung the Presidential vote to George H. Bush, this is a different ballgame. Today, it's all computer technology and internet-based meddling. But the old favorites have not been forgotten, because in case anyone hasn't noticed, China is printing Trump' banners. Maybe it's just the fact that the banners are for him that is so annoying to me? Yet, no one knows who ordered them! Was it the Republicans, Trump himself, or some other organization who's anticipating his re-election campaign?
The election meddling carried out by Russia is not an assumption. The accusation is backed with irrefutable physical evidence. On a regular basis, Facebook has been removing hundreds of fake accounts linked to Russia. All accounts were used to manipulate users and meddle in the US Election in 2016. Russia has also been accused of meddling in other foreign elections, to swing votes towards candidates that they favor! That's just the tip of the iceberg! Still curious about what's next? Read on...
Social Media Controls
Whether you believe it or not, Mind Control is a real thing. The use of psychological torture can be found in Guantanamo Bay, for instance. The use of various forms of music, sleep deprivation, starvation, the force-feeding of mood-altering substances, like LSD, all contribute to the tearing down of another person's individual will.
Facebook has been at the top of studies on how the manipulation of visual content on social media platforms can successfully control a viewers mood. These are some pretty serious activities! It's not like the age-old adage "Rock-n-Roll is the devil's music" or "Television made them do it." (I think I got those right!) But, perhaps it is exactly that. Have you ever noticed the ads on your Google are the same products that you just checked out, via internet, earlier that day, or even that hour? Maybe you use a different browser than I do, but I still propose the same question. That, right there, is the perfect example of Google using the same algorithms as Facebook. Algorithms are what the computer program does with the information it collects. Google is a lot more subtle, but the intent is the same. You'll see the ad and subconsciously feel as though others have the same mindset as you. That page on your browser, by the way, is specifically tailored for YOU, on your PC, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. This makes you feel more at ease and much more likely to share with others in posts, comments, or private emails. Stronger emotions, like fear or hate, receive more attention. It's not unlike porn addiction, which has risen with the availability of internet porn sites. The creators of fake Facebook pages, and fake user accounts, simply modify the content for that shock effect. When their ads get seen, those tend to get more of a response and get shared more widely across Facebook and the internet.
A New Era of Socializing
Now you understand why the security structure of social media sites like Google, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are ALL in need of some serious controls! It's not just about national security. It's about laying a secure foundation of laws for their intended use. This will protect the privacy of civilians who use the platforms. The litigations of Facebook, and hackers from the United States and in foreign countries, begins a new era! The changes are about protecting our country, our privacy, and the mental health of not just ourselves, but also our children for generations to come!
