A Brief look into the Day of 16 March 2021

Hey There, Its EDB here, that’s Erik DeSean Barrett for long, and if you’re reading this when its released, on Tuesday, 16:03:2021. Then you are well into your Day, which has realized that the struggle is no longer how do we get shots, nor how to we get them in them arms, but how do we convince people to sit their asses down and get shot up!! Even more so today, when that struggle of confidence meets, a possibility of error, Is it possible the answer is not in some miracle drug, but in naturally grown remedies? and finally what do you do, when the world fixes its covid nightmare, returns from financial disaster, only to realize the planet is crumbling at the seems. It is times like these that try mens souls. And I say lets get to trying..
POINT ONE: Why Are These Countries Saying NO To AstraZeneca’s Vaccine?
On Monday, German health minister Jens Spahn said that the country will no longer use AstraZeneca's coronavirus vaccine after new cases of immunized people experiencing thrombosis. Three deaths have been linked to the vaccine so far.
Following Germany's announcement, French president Emmanuel Macron said that France will also stop using AstraZeneca shots. Macron said the decision was made
"as a precaution" and based on the recommendation of the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
In Italy, prosecutors said this week that they seized more than 393,000 AstraZeneca doses after a vaccinated man was reported to have died. Hours after Germany's announcement regarding the vaccine in question, the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA) said it has suspended use of the shots "temporarily" while waiting for the EMA meeting.
In Asia, Indonesia became the second country outside Europe after Thailand to hold off AstraZeneca vaccine distribution as the country waits for the World Health Organization's review into the recent cases of blood clotting. The country has around 1.1 million doses of the vaccine. 10 million more are expected to be shipped between March through May. Thailand initially delayed administration of the vaccine Friday, but it has been confirmed that Thai prime minister Prayuth Chan-ocha became the first person in the country to be immunized with an AstraZeneca shot.
POINT TWO: Neurologists Eat And Recommend These 13 Foods That Improve Your Memory, Brain Function and Vision
1. Turmeric - This yellow spice, used in curry, is very popular in Indian cuisine. Turmeric is part of the ginger family. It has a long history of medicinal uses in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine. This penetrating taste has been the subject of thousands of studies, which confirm its pharmacological and medicinal actions.
2. Onions contain sulfur compounds that slow down memory damage, normally associated with aging. Onions contain plenty of quercitin, a flavonoid known for its ability to reduce memory loss associated with aging. In fact, onions have more quercitin than tea and apples, which are often used as examples of important sources of this flavonoid.
3. Rosemary is a common spice in many kitchens. But this aromatic plant improves concentration and memory, according to studies. Psychologists at Northumbria University in Newcastle have shown that simply inhaling rosemary oil can boost memory by up to 75%. One of the active ingredients in rosemary, carnosic acid, protects the brain from free radicals associated with neuro degeneration, Alzheimer’s, stroke and even aging of the brain. In addition, studies show that the antioxidants in rosemary and its anti-inflammatory properties can protect eyesight.
4. Oilseeds are generally rich in omega 3 fatty acids and can stimulate brain health. One study shows that eating a few nuts a day can improve cognitive health. Oilseeds generally have high levels of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, associated with mental alertness. Other studies show that high levels of vitamin E in some oilseeds can slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.
5. Dark chocolate - Now you have an extra reason to enjoy chocolate, the researchers show. The only condition, however, is to be black. Dark chocolate is, in fact, a superfood with anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties for the brain and body! Dark chocolate is an important source of antioxidants and caffeine, which increases concentration and sharpens memory, according to studies.
6. Avocados are among the healthiest fruits you can eat, despite the bad reputation they have had in the past. They contain monounsaturated fats, ie good fats, which regulate blood sugar and improve cognitive function, especially memory and concentration. They can prevent the blood vessels from stiffening, ensuring good blood circulation to the heart and brain. Blood flow to the brain is essential to carry oxygen, glucose and other nutrients needed for brain health. Avocados are also rich in vitamins B, C and K, as well as folate, which prevent the formation of clots in the brain (strokes) and improve cognitive function, especially memory and concentration.
7.Whole grains are also rich in omega 3 fatty acids, as well as complex fiber and carbohydrates. Due to these components, whole grains are an excellent choice for the development and proper functioning of the brain. A study by Harvard Medical School concludes that the Mediterranean diet, which includes whole grains, among other things, can improve the health of blood vessels, reducing the risk of stroke that can affect memory.
8. Broccoli is one of the best foods for the brain, according to studies. It is rich in vitamin K and choline, which keep the memory sharp. Broccoli is rich in antioxidants like vitamin C – a single cup of broccoli provides 150% of the recommended daily dose!
9. Green tea -This superfood, in addition to helping with weight loss, reducing anxiety and preventing the development of cancer cells, also has a positive effect on memory. A study , published in 2014 in “Psychopharmacology”, shows that green tea intensifies “the correspondence between the frontal and parietal lobes of the brain, increasing the ability to access stored information.”
10. Beetroot - According to studies, the consumption of beets not only reduces inflammation, but even protects against cancer through the action of the many antioxidants contained in this vegetable. Beets help detoxify the body, and the natural nitrates contained in beets can increase blood flow to the brain, improving mental performance. One study even showed that it is so strong that it can increase cognitive function in just 90 minutes after consuming 450 ml of beet juice!
11. Blueberries are among the foods richest in antioxidants. The significant content of vitamin C and K and even fiber make this small fruit a real plant of nutrients. Due to the high level of gallic acid, blueberries protect the brain from degeneration and oxidative stress.
12. Extra virgin olive oil is rich in polyphenols (antioxidants) that not only improve learning and memory, but can also reverse some changes that occur in the brain as a result of aging or disease. The oil can also remove beta-amyloid-derived ligands, a type of protein that studies show is toxic to the brain and can induce Alzheimer’s.
13. Coconut oil- Extremely appreciated for health, coconut oil has hundreds of medicinal uses. When it comes to the brain, however, coconut oil acts as a natural anti-inflammatory, suppressing the cellular activity of agents responsible for inflammation. It has also been shown that among its benefits, it improves memory loss .
“The gap between where we are and where we should be is not decreasing but widening, We need a drastic acceleration of energy transitions to make a meaningful turnaround.” -Francesco La Camera, director-general of the Abu Dhabi-based organisation, which has more than 160 member states.
Fossil fuel consumption would have to fall by more than 75% by 2050, with oil and coal shrinking more quickly. Use of natural gas would have to peak in 2025, although it would be the dominant fossil fuel by mid-century.Renewable power capacity will have to expand more than ten-fold by mid-century, accompanied by a 30-fold increase in the electrification of transport, the report found. It also foresaw a dramatic increase in the production and use of
“green hydrogen”
- a zero-carbon fuel made by electrolysis, using power from wind and solar, that splits water into hydrogen and oxygen.
By 2050, 30% of electricity use will be dedicated to producing green hydrogen and hydrogen and its derivatives, such as e-ammonia and e-methanol.
How do you pull all this off, you’re asking? Governments could still harness post-pandemic recovery packages, which have so far mostly favoured fossil fuels, to accelerate the transition.
"help is here, and hope is here, in real and tangible ways,” -President Joe Biden
Biden said during brief White House remarks Monday:
"In the next 10 days, we'll reach two goals — two giant goals," Biden said during brief White House remarks Monday: "100 million shots in people’s arms ... and 100 million checks in people’s pockets."
The relief package, he added, is
"already doing what it was designed to do — make a difference in people's everyday lives."
Vice President Kamala Harris, First Lady Jill Biden and senior administration officials hit the road this week, visiting politically critical states in what amounts to the administration's first sustained barnstorming tour since the inauguration. This is, In my humble view, an attempt to do all they can to reach those who are still skeptical about being vaccinated. With some 41% republicans refusing to take the vaccine, even though their asshole in chief took it, along with many of the first douchebags privately got shot up. But that is just my thoughts, and views are not a reflection of the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
The Biden administration indicated it would welcome former President Trump getting more involved in vaccine outreach efforts, but signaled it would spend its time investing in local doctors and community leaders who might convince skeptical conservatives to get the shot.
"If former President Trump woke up tomorrow and wanted to be more vocal about the safety and efficacy of the campaign, of the vaccine, certainly we’d support that," -White House press secretary Jen Psaki
it’s not like every other president hasn’t done it; even a republican!!
Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, began with a trip to Nevada, where they visited a vaccination clinic, food bank and a vegan taco shop.
“We’re all in it together,” - Vice President Kamala Harris
while on tour in Las Vegas, the VP visited a local restaurant, whose establishment had a sign stating...
"No shirt, no shoes, no masks, no tacos."
Americans received roughly 3.2 million shots on Saturday and 2.7 million on Sunday. About 30% of American adults and nearly two-thirds of those older than 65 have received at least one shot.
"We have to prove to the American people that their government can deliver for them," -President Joe Biden
And Finally today, The U.S. Senate confirmed Representative Deb Haaland as Secretary of the Interior, making her the first Native American to lead a cabinet agency and giving her a central role in President Joe Biden’s sweeping plans to fight climate change. The vote was 51-40 with all Democrats and a handful of Republicans outh Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski and Maine Senator Susan Collins. voting to confirm her.
“Given the long and troubled relationship between the federal government and tribal nations, the ascension of Rep. Haaland to the top of the Interior Department is a profoundly important moment for America,” -Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer
And So so as we look at this day, I find myself both pessimistic, and optimistic. The future is has is dark drooping moments, but beyond the dark iron curtain, is a beacon of hope; and a pillar of possibility, and for that, I keep in this struggle. UNTIL NEXT TIME
