In order to elevate our understanding of this vast humane experience. We have to first understand the psychology of humane behavior. This means knowing and understanding why we do the things we do or why we are unsuccessful at dealing with conflicts around the world. Before I go any further, please note that this analysis of humane thinking and behavior is not a blueprint to overcoming any hardship. This analysis is for the sole purpose of arming future leaders with a correct understanding of those involved in competing interest around the world.

with that said, what is retaliation? and what effect does it have on the humane mind? What are the boundaries and rules associated with retaliation? Does retaliation fall in line with what is considered by most to be moral behavior? If anyone should choose to retaliate for any reason, what reasons are justifiable according to law or nature. When law and nature are in direct conflict of each other which side do you choose.

according to webster's dictionary retaliation means the action of harming someone because they have harmed oneself, revenge. Oh no who said revenge? Did we say it, or did they say it? Yes, we all said it, but nature said OK a long time ago. Retaliation is just as natural as the everlasting conflicts between lions and hyenas. Retaliation is not just a word or meaningless move. Retaliation is a key component of humane survival. The dark side of our humane way of thinking.......something that gives birth to greed and power mongering is the most important justification of retaliation. Because without it. rogue powers would go unchecked and innocent people would be killed. Innocent people would be enslaved.

Like in chess the threat of retaliation is not only how you survive but also how you win. A matter of fact without it you would lose. The reason your knight is still alive and active is because if he is attacked your retaliation would cripple his defense leading to a decisive check mate AKA hostile takeover. as long as your knight remains under your umbrella, he will continue to play an active role that will be respected by your opponent. Since we all by nature have to contend for natural resources "if you steal minds, I will destroy yours" will always be effective means of manipulation.

The idea of massive retaliation was first formally articulated by the Eisenhower administration Secretary of state John Foster Dulles in a speech on January 12,1954.

Dulles stated: "We need allies and collective security. Our purpose is to make these relations ore effective, less costly. This can be done by placing more reliance on deterrent power and less dependence on local defensive power... Local defense will always be important. But there is no local defense which alone will contain the mighty land power of the communist world. Local defenses must be reinforced by further deterrent of massive retaliatory power. A potential aggressor must know that he cannot always prescribe battle conditions that suit him"

At the time, Dulle's speech was controversial. Dulles did not explicitly use the words" massive retaliation". instead, he spoke about retaliation as a much less threatening term. In his speech, Dulles also stated that "Local defense must be reinforced by the further deterrent of massive retaliatory power". It is in that quote that the idea of massive retaliation being articulated is seen, but the use of specific words is absent. Dulles never used the exact words because the term "massive retaliation" has an aggressive tone and caused much negative feedback from the public, which deemed it as a controversial subject. Dulles speech in 1954 was what formed the basis for the term massive retaliation, which would back up any conventional defense against conventional attacks with a possible massive retaliatory attack involving nuclear weapons.

One of the primary ideas that makes up the term "massive retaliation" is to make known to the enemy that the degree of retaliation is not confined by the magnitude of attack. This would feasibly strike fear into the opposing side preventing any further or future attacks from happening

Civil war, domestic war, racial war, gang war, and international war all are controlled and determined by the psychology of war. Therefore, understanding the psychology of retaliation is mandatory for all those people and organizations that are responsible for resolving serious conflicts around this very dark chaotic existence.
