New York attorney general sues Trump administration over offshore wind project freeze
State Attorney General Letitia James said in legal challenges filed in federal court in Washington that the U.S. Department of the Interior's Dec. 22 order suspending construction on the projects off Long Island, citing national security concerns, was arbitrary and unwarranted.

President Trump should not be able to block the wind energy projects that would power over a half million homes. However, this does not mean he is a champion for energy and fossil fuels. In fact, he is a detractor in that realm. The government ought to have no say about the building of private property, even if it is for poor performing sources like wind turbines.
Private property ought to be left up to the individuals who make the various pieces of machinery. It should only be the government’s job to protect the rights of the owners of such property. To halt the progress of these efforts is a severe example of the government overstepping its boundaries.
There should be no laws in place that provide the State with coercive powers to stop the wind turbines. As unsustainable and unreliable as the turbines are, the United States government ought to butt out of such affairs.
Fossil fuels will power this world and they ought to do so. Wind turbines are costly, ugly, and endanger the wildlife that these “environmentalists” hold so dear.
The human environment has flourished in the nearly three hundred years since heavy machinery was introduced to the planet. Today, when smokestacks billow out exhaust, that’s only the final stage of the process of making the modern world. This display of brains and human ingenuity is essential to human thriving. While there should be private provisions for the squirrels, turtles, and birds of flight, there also should be a sovereignty of fossil fuels.

Solar and wind power play a negligible role in advancing the prosperity of the human environment. This is a fact. Oil, coal, and natural gas play a larger, more important role in the way that people get their energy. For Trump, though, to prevent the turbines from being built is still an infringement on the rights of the companies that wish to make sure they see establishment.
Wind turbines represent the antithesis of making the human environment better. By improving the lives of people in the US and around the world, fossil fuels have propelled man into the future.
So while it seems as a bit of a reprieve for the government to block the turbines, it’s still problematic. The idea of the State shifting its weight to say there should be no turbines could mean the same for fossil fuels. People who say they’re “dirty” and “sooty” and negatively impact the globe, they can say the same thing. That’s the scary part. For people to ignore the reality of how fossil fuels have raised standard of life, quality of life, and overall well-being is unconscionable. These folks feel that there is some sort of savior to the “evils” of fossil fuel over the decades.
Trump should have no authority over what goes up or what is torn down, given that such structures do not impede on property rights. It’s only because of the semi-capitalistic system in which the United States of America has experienced for decades that we have the opportunity to live our lives in the greatness that is this country. Fossil fuels represent the opposite of what has happened to life expectancy as well. Wind turbines stand as reminders that emotion and feelings have championed the minds of those who don’t see the truth.

They find a way to circumvent and fit in cookie cutter beliefs the idea that fossil fuels are a detriment to the placement of the power sources. And let us not forget nuclear energy. Although it is not a fossil fuel, it seems scary but it powers entire cities and brings relativelry cheap and clean energy to the country.
While the government should not have its claws around turbines, it should not be a proponent of fossil fuels either. That job should be left to private individuals.
