Wanna make $1,000 while supporting Joe Biden?
Last year, an agency by the name of Main Street reached out to me. They had a simple request.
Can you help us get more Georgians to the polls for the Senate runoffs?
I was initially surprised by the request. For starters, I had been talking crap about Georgia for quite some time on my social media. A few months prior, the state and its people had so frustrated me that, for these and other reasons, I bought an RV and took off on a roadtrip that never ended.
To my surprise, the company wanted me to share my honest opinion about my experiences in Georgia, why I left, and why it's so important to vote to bring about changes.
Okay, so this was great and all—but is it legit?
Are Main Street Campaigns a Scam?
I felt certain this was some kind of scam, but I was only too happy to share my experiences in Georgia. I had also already been using my platforms to encourage people to vote and one more post wasn't much to ask.
I submitted my proposed text and image. When they told me it was approved, I posted it. Then, I filled out the requested form with my payment information and waited.
I was shocked when $200 appeared in my account. I had been paid to post something I would have gladly shared for free anyway!
In the past year, they have reached out to me around five times. So, I suspect I must have made about $1,000 as a little foot soldier in these Democrat campaigns.
How Can You Make Easy Money Posting Liberal Content?
You can work with them right now if you want. They are currently handling a Democrat campaign and want Instagram users in the following states:
- Pennsylvania
- Wisconsin
- Michigan
- Arizona
- Georgia
- Nevada
- Florida
- New Hampshire
Unfortunately, they did not provide me with a sign up link or affiliate link, so I have to submit each referral manually. This particular campaign likely has a time limit, but they are usually always on the hunt for new influencers.
Submit your request via my email address on this webpage. Remember to include your name and a link to your Instagram pages. If you have a large following on Facebook, Twitter, etc, they might be open to you posting content there as well.
How Much Do They Pay?
I suspect if you're a big-time influencer with hundreds of thousands of followers, you can negotiate your own rate. I have only 7,200+ Instagram followers, so I am a small fry. Here are the rates I last received:
- 1k-5k $150
- 5k-10k $200
- 10k-15k $250
- 15k+ $300+
What Do I Get Out of It?
When I refer you to Main Street, it gives your application a boost because you're getting my vote of confidence. I also get $20 for each person they decide to work with. If they accept you, you are officially roped into the Main Street system.
Main Street then reaches out to you whenever they have a campaign you can work on. I have no idea how they determine who is a good fit and for what campaign, but they have been spot on with me, so far.
Can I See the Campaign First?
I would rather not give away any details of the campaign, because that might be confidential information. But, I am willing to share what I know via email, so you can follow up with them for the rest.
One of the things I love about working with them is that they don't put words in my mouth. Every campaign I have ever worked on with them, I have chosen what I wish to share. So, no need to worry about being forced to lie for anyone.
That's much different from working on other ad campaigns. Most of those are scripted from the photo to the caption to how you should conduct yourself while the campaign is running. So, this is always a breath of fresh air!
