A Modern Democratic Republic
Our nation will be a nation that will be one of creed and many faiths. A nation that will embrace humanity and not divide for meaningless disputes. We believe in freedoms, we believe in hope, and we believe in loyalty. We were founded on principles that are rooted in the goodwill of humanity. We were founded on unity and humanity. Our nation will forever live in its values guided by its innate principles. We will refuse discord and dissension. We will refuse division and divisiveness. Equality and equity are evident in the truest democracy. No one is above the law in the purest republic. We hope for a nation that is conscious of its duty to humanity, a nation that is conscious of its gifts, and a nation that defends its rights. We seek not to invade others' will or create an empire. We seek not to violate rights and freedoms but to avail ourselves in the grace of unity, humanity, freedom, and liberty, and to do so perpetually. We seek the participation of every able citizen to choose the path of their nation, to choose the destiny of their nation, and to choose to follow without constraint.
Balance of Power-Governance is nothing without separation and balance. We must balance authority to preserve each branch. One branch cannot overpower another. One branch cannot cause confusion and division in another branch. Power must be controlled and power must be maintained for the sake of liberty. Power has always been in the hand of the power and when they elected the official they can expect certain results from them. It is undignified to obstruct and commit perjury. To obstruct is to stop the flow of governance. And to commit perjury is to deceive the public. Each branch has the power to re-commit another branch to strengthen the faith of the country. Confidence is key to governance and longevity.
Respect for Authority-The true heart of a democracy and republic lies in the respect for those in power. It cannot be demanded. It cannot be perverted. It must come from decent and respectable accomplishments proving the distinguished and honorable ambitions of the official. Manipulation will not be accepted. Abusing the will of the people and rejecting the highest honor of freedoms and rights will be untolerated and unacceptable. Officials must set the example and keep to the Oath. Pardons of officials will be unusual to preserve the principle that "No one is above the law". Officials must respect each other's power and duties and unadulterate them.
Conservatory of Liberty-We must never reject humanity. We must open our nation to unlimited possibilities that lie in brotherhood and sisterhood. Our bold nation must conserve freedoms by giving everyone a right to come to the table. We must plant ourselves in the fold of democracy and declare liberty to those who seek it. We must reject all mechanisms and maneuvers of hatred. We set ourselves free from oppressive ways and suppressive devices. When the Republic was born, we declared freedom everywhere. We declared ourselves like those who did before us, a nation of liberty, a nation of freedom, a nation of rights, a nation of dignity, a nation of unity, a nation of fulfillment. We must stand for justice. We must stand for these principles as long as we shall live. For it is written in our Constitution to be faithful and duly to the will of freedom and liberty. We object to all bigotry. And because we object to all bigotry will ask for the loyalty of the people, we beseech the loyalty of the people, and we passionately persuaded the loyalty of the people.

The Death of Lincoln
There were many undertakings in this investigation of Lincoln's death, I found many peculiarities. Lincoln had bodyguards all around that night. And Lincoln was worried about his wife and his safety, he inquired about a good soldier to protect him, however the soldier decline due to pressure from Lincoln's divided cabinet. Lincoln explained his cabinet like Ancient Greece's times. He saw each cabinet member acting as one of the gods and goddesses of Ancient Greece. And he suspected that conspiracies were going on under his watch. Lincoln had invited his killer to the White House on numerous occasions. Some say his killer was thinking about becoming the president, although Lincoln's killer was known also to be a womanizer and a crossdresser. Lincoln's killer had popularity and notoriety among Americans, but he seemed obsessed with money and power. And he knew that the president was limited by money and power, so he would not give his heart to politics. Lincoln felt his successor should not be under the control of his predecessor. They should agree and meet only on certain occasions. They should never be seen fighting each other and they should never be seen in dispute. Lincoln had many successors besides Johnson, namely because he was very popular with wins from the war. He knew that the South had still rebels who were going to restart the war however he believed Americans were tired of fighting and ready to move on. He talked many times of his death with his wife and she reassured him that his name will live on. Lincoln's killer was an amazing actor and conspirator because he was able to hide and mascarade his plot. He was not alone, he recruited his gang of actors and actresses. He even knew every part of the play that was to be performed. Even though he played a waiting game with the soldier at the door till he had to use the restroom and reload his gun. He was determined to climb to Lincoln's box and execute the president. When Lincoln's killer found outside that the door leading to Lincoln was locked, some believed he had more than one gun, he took a gun to open the door when the crowd was aroused from the performance so no one could hear then he quietly came to the president and took his little cannon gun specially made for the assassination and shot the president in the ear after wrestling with the soldier in Lincoln's box. Some believed Lincoln built that box specially for him since he was friends with the Ford Theater owner. His killer knew that he could jump on stage probably practiced the jump many times. Lincoln's killer was a much younger man than Lincoln and in his stage life has played many roles that require him to do much acting. Before that, Lincoln gave a speech about the play, some believed Lincoln wanted to ease tension about the war. He wanted to heal the wounds of the nation. He felt that everyone should enjoy themselves now that the war is over. The play American Cousin talked about a citizen who is distraught about his past and finds out that he has relatives that he does not know about. It was a comedy about England and America and it brought out stereotypes that each country had about each other and their people. Lincoln invited celebrities such as Emily Dickinson and her boyfriend. Lincoln felt that entertainment is key to binding the wound and showing our differences. Lincoln's wife advocated for presenting harsh issues through enjoyment that people learned a lesson besides entertainment. Lincoln wanted to show them how to get past the war and celebrated the victory. Lincoln's killer fled quickly because it was late but Grant was not too far from them. Lincoln had Grant wait for the killer and Grant wanted to be at the play but Lincoln named him a successor. Lincoln's killer had a broken leg that his co-conspirators helped him escape in a wagon. Lincoln's killer words on the stage were deceptive because he wanted to instill fear about the rise of the South, he did not know that the South was tired and embattled, which is why Lee turned the victory over to Lincoln and promoted his presidency. Lincoln's killer went to a farmhouse after being caught in pursuit. And when Grant ordered its burning after reading him his charges, then the killer surrenders. Now the trial is inevitable in convicting Lincoln's killer. Lincoln's killer has been executed with a first shot to the ankles, a second shot to the knees, and a third shot to the shoulder ending with a final shot to the head. Lincoln's killer body is believed to be placed underneath a jail. Before his death, Lincoln after his shot was somewhat unconscious, he was still alive but the pain kept him from seeing and communicating. In Lincoln's last words, he talked to his wife about seeing his angel, which he usually referred to as his mother, and then he died. Lincoln designated that his casket is carried on a train around the country to signify that the division has ended and we all must mourn our losses from the war and keep the union moving forward in its pursuit of existence.

When people hear the name Turkey, they often think of a modern nation bridging Europe and Asia, rich with culture, cuisine, and history. But Turkey’s land has carried many names long before it became the Republic of Türkiye in the 20th century. Understanding the old names of Turkey is more than a geography lesson—it is a journey through ancient civilizations, powerful empires, and shifting identities that shaped the world. Anatolia: The Earliest Known Name The oldest and most widely used historical name for much of modern-day Turkey is Anatolia. Derived from the Greek word Anatolē, meaning “the east” or “sunrise,” Anatolia referred to the lands east of mainland Greece. For ancient Greeks, this region was literally where the sun rose. Anatolia was not a single kingdom but a vast region that hosted some of the world’s earliest civilizations, including the Hittites, Phrygians, Lydians, and Urartians. Archaeological discoveries show that Anatolia was a cradle of early human settlement, agriculture, and trade, making it one of the most historically dense regions on Earth. Even today, historians and scholars frequently use “Anatolia” to describe Turkey’s Asian portion, which makes up about 97% of the country. Asia Minor: A Roman and Byzantine Label Another well-known old name for Turkey is Asia Minor. This term was popularized during the Roman and Byzantine Empires to distinguish the region from the larger continent of Asia. “Asia Minor” literally means “Lesser Asia,” emphasizing its role as a western extension of the Asian landmass. Under Roman and later Byzantine rule, Asia Minor became a hub of administration, commerce, and Christianity. Many early Christian communities, councils, and churches—mentioned in biblical texts—were located in this region. Cities like Ephesus, Smyrna, and Nicaea were central to religious and political life for centuries. Constantinople and the Byzantine Identity While the land itself had regional names, the capital city—Constantinople—often symbolized the entire territory. Founded by Roman Emperor Constantine the Great in 330 AD, Constantinople became the heart of the Byzantine Empire. For over a thousand years, the Byzantine Empire ruled much of what is now Turkey, blending Roman governance, Greek culture, and Christian theology. During this period, the region was not called Turkey at all, as the term “Turk” had not yet become dominant in Anatolia. The Arrival of the Turks and the Name “Turkey” The name Turkey comes from the word “Turk”, referring to the Turkic peoples who migrated from Central Asia. After the Battle of Manzikert in 1071, Seljuk Turks defeated the Byzantine army, opening Anatolia to Turkish settlement. Over time, European sources began referring to the region as “Turcia” or “Turkey,” meaning “the land of the Turks.” This marked a major shift in identity—from a Greco-Roman-Christian region to a predominantly Turkic and Muslim one. The Ottoman Empire: A Global Power Without the Name “Turkey” Interestingly, during the height of Turkish power, the state was not officially called Turkey. Instead, it was known as the Ottoman Empire, named after its founder Osman I. From the late 13th century until the early 20th century, the Ottoman Empire controlled vast territories across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Ottoman rulers referred to their realm as the Devlet-i Aliyye-i Osmaniye (The Sublime Ottoman State). However, European diplomats and writers still casually referred to the empire’s core lands as Turkey, reinforcing the name internationally. From Ottoman Empire to the Republic of Turkey After World War I and the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk led a successful independence movement. In 1923, the modern Republic of Turkey was officially established. This marked the first time “Turkey” became the formal name of the state, symbolizing a break from imperial rule and the beginning of a secular, nation-based identity. In recent years, the country has also emphasized the spelling “Türkiye” internationally to reflect its native pronunciation and cultural identity. Why These Old Names Still Matter The old names of Turkey—Anatolia, Asia Minor, Byzantine lands, and Ottoman domains—tell a story of continuity and transformation. They reveal how geography, culture, religion, and power shape national identity over time. Turkey is not just a modern nation-state; it is a living archive of human civilization. Each old name represents a chapter in its long and complex story, making Turkey one of the most historically layered countries in the world. Final Thoughts So, what is the old name of Turkey?
