“After the End: One Man’s Journey to Rebuild Humanity”

The film begins with a man named Ash, who lives in the middle of a forest. He is a biologist and, due to his research, has been living far away from the city in the wilderness. One day, during his research, he is bitten by a venomous snake in the forest. He panics immediately, and at that moment his phone falls to the ground. Now he cannot call anyone for help.
He tries to extract the venom himself and even cuts his own hand, but it has no effect. Even when he goes home and tries to cut his hand again, it is too late. The venom has already started spreading through his body, and he begins experiencing strange hallucinations. He remains in this state for several days.
One day, some scientists arrive to take him away. He is somewhat conscious. He is alive, but his body has no strength. He musters the courage to try to call out to them, but no sound comes out. The scientists, assuming he is not there, leave.
The scene cuts to a few days later. The cut on his hand has expelled most of the venom, and the small amount that had reached his brain is now healing. He only experiences mild hallucinations. Upon regaining consciousness, he immediately decides to go to a city hospital. He cleans his car and sets off toward the city.
However, he notices something strange: there are no cars on the roads. When he reaches the city, there is no activity. He does not see a single living person. All the buildings are empty. Seeing this, he panics.
A pandemic has broken out here. This pandemic is so deadly that it wipes out the entire population in just a few days. Being a biologist, Ash understands that because he had been isolated from the population for several days, the disease could not infect him, and he survived. Now the entire population has been wiped out — there is no government, no authority, and no owner of anything.
Ash immediately thinks of his parents. Driving home, he sees that his parents have been dead for several days, and their bodies are in a terrible state of decay. Yet, he gathers courage and digs a grave outside his house to bury them.
After that, he surveys the entire city, but there are no other survivors. Thinking this through, he decides to travel to another city and plans to go to Las Vegas. Taking some essential supplies and a gun, he sets off. However, the bridge to Las Vegas is sealed. He becomes very angry and chooses a longer route instead.
When he finally reaches Las Vegas, everyone there has also died. Malls, large hotels, casinos — all are empty. Exhausted, he goes into a hotel. He spends the night there, enjoying expensive things because now everything is free for him.
He does not expect to meet anyone else, but the next night he encounters two people. They, too, have survived the disease. The girl tells a sorrowful story, saying she watched her family die over a video call and now has no hope left to live. The man also wants to die, as living in such a lonely world seems impossible for him.
That night, they stay with Ash, but by morning, he senses danger in their intentions. The man has a gun and wants to make the deaths of all three of them easy. But Ash wants to live, so he gets up and leaves. Behind him, he hears gunshots — the two have committed suicide. This event breaks Ash even more.
Now, he realizes that he is completely alone in the world. Driving at high speed, he returns home. On the way, a dog crosses in front of his car. The dog is also completely alone, just like Ash. He takes the dog with him, finding a new reason to live.
Ash begins a new life. He starts reading survival books. There is no shortage of food or drink, and there is no need to earn money anymore. He works every day and roams the town, hoping to find another survivor, but each day he returns disappointed.
One day, while standing by a window drinking tea with his dog, it suddenly starts barking. He realizes that there is someone nearby. Smoke rises from a distant house, suggesting the presence of a human. He immediately takes his car and heads toward the house.
Fortunately, there is a girl there. She is scared upon seeing Ash, but he reassures her that he means no harm and that he is also alone, searching for other survivors. Hearing this, the girl allows him into her house. Her name is Emma.
Through their conversation, it becomes clear that nearly a year has passed since the pandemic, and neither Ash nor Emma has seen any other survivors in all that time. They are very happy to have found another human, as being alone has been extremely difficult, and they were on the verge of depression.

Emma and Ish decide that they will live together in Ish’s house, because Ish’s house is close to the general store where food supplies are available, and Ish has already collected a lot of supplies in his house, which makes living easier for them. Emma also moves into Ish’s house.
When they start living together, their life becomes better than before. Emma supports Ish a lot. She improves his appearance, fixes his clothes, and together they start repairing and renovating the house, because during the entire year Ish had not paid much attention to his home.
Both of them wake up every morning and work together to achieve their targets. They also think that if they are the only two people left in the whole world, then they should increase the population. At first, this is a mutual decision, but when Ish finds out that Emma is pregnant, he becomes very scared. He fears whether his child will be able to survive in this strange world or not.
Emma encourages him and says that everything will be fine. Since Ish is a biologist, he starts reading books and learning about childbirth, because he knows that now they are completely alone and will have to do everything by themselves.
Along with this, they also try to make the house complete and secure. Ish installs solar panels so that there will be no shortage of electricity, because a long time has passed since the pandemic. The city is slowly turning into a jungle, and wild animals start coming into urban areas, which becomes a big danger for them.
That is why they build a fence around the house and keep some weapons to protect themselves from animals. They also start keeping some wild animals for their needs, and both of them become very busy. In the absence of humans, the whole area becomes green, the air becomes very clean, and their health improves a lot. Their life becomes almost perfect.
But then one day, another big problem appears. From somewhere, countless rats enter the city. Seeing them, Ish becomes very worried. To keep the rats away from the house, he sets fire to the air vents of the house, but this solution works for only one night.
Emma tells him that they will find a solution to this problem as well. The next morning, Ish goes outside the house and releases several cats around the area. These cats start eating the rats, and eventually this problem also ends.
Finally, the day arrives when Emma is about to give birth to the baby. Ish handles everything himself, and we are shown that they have a very beautiful baby girl. Seeing this, both of them become very happy, and they get a new hope to live.
After that, they go onto the roads and write their home address, hoping that if any other survivor ever comes, they can reach their house, where they will find food and water.
Six years later, Ish is going to the jungle for some work when suddenly a wild animal appears in front of his car. Frightened, Ish gets out of the car and looks at the animal. The animal is still alive but in great pain, so Ish shoots it to end its suffering.
From a distance, a girl is watching all this. Hearing the gunshot, she gets scared and runs into the jungle. Ish also sees her running and immediately runs after her to catch her. The girl thinks that Ish will harm her, but that is not the case.
When Ish gives the hungry girl an apple, she realizes that Ish is not a bad person. Ish wants to take her to his house, but instead of sitting with him in the car, the girl sits in the back trunk.
After reaching the house, the girl is not ready to come out of the trunk. We are shown that over the years, Ish and Emma now have two children, and Emma is expecting their third child. They have written their address all over the town, and after seeing this address, two more survivors — George and Marina — arrive at their place, who have been living with them for the past year.
Ish also brings the girl from the jungle, but she spends the entire night inside the trunk. In the morning, when Marina comes to give her food, the girl gets scared and throws the food away. Then Marina explains things to her and tells her own story, that she and George wandered alone in this empty world for many months, and then they found Ish’s address and came here.
Marina also tells her that Ish and Emma are very good people and that there is no shortage of anything here. Hearing this, the girl becomes a little calmer, but she still does not talk much and does not even tell her name.
One day, Marina finds the girl’s belongings, which contain strange drawings, and also a letter. In the letter, it is written that during the pandemic, the girl’s father abused her, because of which she is afraid of every human being. The letter is written by her mother, in which she writes that when she dies, whoever finds this child should take care of her.
After knowing this, everyone starts taking more care of the girl — Evie. That same night, Emma gives birth to her third child, and everyone becomes very happy.

A year passed just like that. One day, they received news that someone had come to their area. Upon hearing this, everyone panicked. Small children were sent inside, and all the adults went outside armed with guns to see who had arrived.
They discovered that it was a group of survivors, consisting of four people. These people had found their way there by learning Ash and Emma’s address. Among them was a woman who was a doctor named Molly. She explained that in all these years, she had only ever met these four survivors, and now, for the first time, she had encountered a large group like Ash’s family.
From their faces and words, it was clear that they meant no harm. Therefore, Ash and Emma welcomed them into their family. Besides, nothing was lacking in their area. Together, they could now build a large community.
Ash taught the new people the rules of survival: always carry weapons because the world had now become like a jungle. Wild animals could appear at any moment. Whenever they went out to gather supplies, they had to go as a group because going alone could be dangerous.
After giving these instructions, everyone went out to gather supplies. Molly, being a doctor, brought back a lot of supplies from the mall and the hospital that could help the community and ensure everyone could be treated.
Years passed in this way, and we see that the group now has many children. Other couples also become parents, and the community gradually grows. Ash educates his children, teaching them about how communities used to function and how humans survived. He does this so that they face no difficulties in the future.
Their life proceeds normally, with the forest surrounding their home. One day, a large lion enters their house from the forest. Fortunately, Ash notices it just in time.
Rushing to protect the children, Ash encounters the lion, which attacks him. Before anyone can intervene, the lion severely injures him. Everyone panics upon seeing this. By the time they reach him, the lion has fled.
Seeing Ash’s condition, Emma angrily takes a gun and ventures into the forest, killing the lion. With Molly’s help, everyone manages to save Ash and begins his treatment. After several weeks, Ash recovers completely.
Seventeen years pass. All the children have grown into adults. We see that Ash’s eldest daughter, Heather, starts growing close to a boy from the group. Their friendship deepens, and no one objects because, in this new world, forming bonds is essential.
Heather and the boy want to explore this new world, hoping to find other survivors. They decide to leave the town. Everyone provides them with weapons and essential supplies before they depart.
However, after their departure, another problem arises. While resources exist, water begins to run low. When they check the dam, they discover that water is almost gone, posing a potentially fatal problem.
A few days later, another group of survivors arrives in their area. They have two trucks but limited fuel. They come to Ash asking for petrol. In return, they offer to solve the water problem using their drilling machine to dig and extract water.
Ash does not mind the arrangement but warns everyone to remain cautious, as these newcomers could be dangerous. Following the agreement, the group begins drilling. After several days of hard work, water finally emerges, bringing joy to everyone.
The deal is fulfilled, and Ash provides them with the requested petrol. That night, everyone celebrates together. By morning, the group has to leave, but Ash notices their leader, Charlie, sneaking out of a room at night.
Upon investigation, Ash discovers that Charlie has been abusing Evie. He immediately informs the entire community. Evie explains that Charlie was saying he would never leave because there are plenty of supplies and weapons there.
Realizing the danger, everyone understands that if Charlie is left alive, he could destroy the whole community. After much discussion, they devise a plan. They corner Charlie, and Ash delivers the fatal blow with a hammer. Charlie is later buried.
After this, Ash feels deeply saddened. It is the first time he has killed another human for the sake of survival. He knows it was necessary to protect the community, yet his heart feels heavy.
The next morning, Ash informs Charlie’s group of the truth. Surprisingly, most of them are happy, as Charlie had also been abusive toward them. Only one friend protests angrily, but the community decides he could also be dangerous, so he is expelled.
Later, we see the children attempting to build an airplane using old research. However, another problem arises: the old virus begins to resurface. Molly treats everyone, but one of Ash’s sons becomes severely ill and dies. Subsequently, a few more people also lose their lives.
Seeing all this, Ash is devastated and wants to give up on life. But Emma encourages him, reminding him that despite being alone, they had restarted life and now have a thriving community.
One day, Ash watches the sunrise from a mountain and realizes that this is no longer the old world but a new world. He decides that his children must now learn the ways of living in this new world, not the old one.
He teaches the children to learn from nature itself. He builds a new radio and establishes a communication network, starts social events, and begins repopulating nearby cities.
In the post-credit scene, we see Ash sitting with his grandson, telling him the whole story. He says:
“This world is no longer ours; it belongs to your generation. Now it is your responsibility to carry it forward.”
With these words, the story comes to an end.
