A Deadly Lottery: When an Entire City Hunts One Person Before Sunset

The story begins in Los Angeles. In the year 2030, a man is running like a mad person. He is extremely terrified. The entire city is chasing him to kill him. Even private car drivers step out of their cars just to kill him. With great difficulty, he reaches the house of a poor woman. The woman asks, “What are you doing here?”

The man pulls out a knife and says, “If you utter even a single word, I’ll rip your eyes out and play marbles with them. Just stay quiet.”

After some time, as soon as the woman gets a chance, she pulls out a nail gun and kills him. To make sure he is really dead, she kicks him twice. Suddenly, some armed people enter the house. When they see the man already dead, they feel disappointed that the woman killed him first. The woman picks up a card from the dead man and tells her son, “Finally, we are going to be rich.”

As soon as she breaks the card, within a few minutes the police storm inside. Along with them, a reality show crew enters, and it is announced that the woman has won 2 million dollars. It is then revealed that this is a game in which millions of people participate. Every day, one random person is selected to win money. If someone kills that person before sunset, the reward goes to the killer. If no one kills him, the reward goes to the selected person himself. The condition is that no fire weapons like pistols or rifles can be used.

The same day, we are introduced to a girl named Katie. She is an unsuccessful actress who has come to Los Angeles to try her luck with auditions. A woman sitting beside her says, “You look very innocent. Take care of yourself, people here are thieves.” Katie replies, “Thank you for the advice. You are a very nice lady.” The woman holds her hand and says, “Don’t say that. You are like my daughter.” Then she gets off and says goodbye.

After some time, when Katie looks at her wrist, she is shocked to realize that the woman has stolen her watch. She calls her a thief. Katie reaches her online-booked room. After seeing the room, she gets upset because it is completely different from what was shown on the phone. The landlady says, “We use different pictures to trap customers.” As soon as Katie sits on the bed, it collapses. But she is helpless because the rent is cheap.

After that, Ella’s fiancé comes and says, “Did you see yesterday’s event? Tomorrow the lottery prize will be 600 million dollars.” Hearing this, Katie is shocked and asks what kind of competition this is. Then she says, “Stop annoying me. Give me the room key, I want to sleep.” They give her the key and she goes to sleep.

The next morning, Katie wakes up with water dripping on her face. When she looks at the ceiling, she realizes that the upstairs neighbor’s bathroom is leaking, and the clothes she was supposed to wear for the audition are ruined. She calls Ella angrily and says, “What is this nonsense? I wake up and people are peeing on me from above. My clothes are ruined.” Ella replies, “Don’t worry, wear my clothes. They’re in the wardrobe.” Katie does exactly that and leaves for the audition.

Only half an hour is left for the audition. When she enters the audition place, she sees many other girls there. She goes inside and performs her scene. The director looks at her and says, “Amazing, but never show your face here again.” At that very moment, Katie’s card gets activated. She pulls out the card and unknowingly gets registered in the game. She has no idea what this card is or why it scanned her face.

Later, she storms out angrily because she has failed the audition. As she is leaving, the girls sitting nearby realize that she is the target. One girl picks up a chair and smashes it on her friend’s head. Another girl grabs a shoe and attacks. Katie screams and runs away.

The real problem begins when she enters a karate training hall to hide. Obviously, all the karate fighters attack her, and she is beaten badly. The captain says, “Only I will kill her.” He lifts her, spins her, and throws her against the wall, causing her to fall into the women’s gym. When everyone realizes she is the winner, they all rush toward her. The karate fighters arrive too, and everyone starts fighting over who will kill her.

Finally, the coach grabs her by the neck and says, “Only I will kill her.” Just as he is about to do it, Noel suddenly arrives and punches the coach on the shoulder, smashing him into the wall. He tells the girl, “There’s no need to be afraid. I’m a bodyguard. If you give me 10% of the prize money, I’ll protect you.” She replies, “Fine, I’ll give you the entire reward. Just save me.”

Noel ties her to his waist with a belt and defeats all the enemies. Then a weak-looking guy appears. Noel tells him, “If I kill you, I’ll feel pity. I’ll count to three. If you don’t run, you’re dead.” The guy immediately salutes him and runs away.

They leave the building and find out that every 15 minutes, a drone tracks her location so other players can find her. They get a car and escape. Katie asks Noel, “What kind of game is this where everyone is trying to kill me? I want out.” Noel says, “There’s only one solution. You have to survive the city.”

Later, Katie suspects that Noel might kill her to take the reward. The entire city is chasing them. They wear safety helmets. Suddenly, a girl jumps into the car and tries to stab her with a knife. Noel tells Katie to drive while he handles it. He grabs the girl’s head and kicks her out of the car.

The car later breaks down. Katie runs, but Noel catches her. She asks him directly, “Tell me the truth. Do you want to kill me and take the prize?” Noel says, “Absolutely not. I want to protect you.” At that moment, the police arrive. Katie runs to complain, but realizes the police are also there to kill her. Noel saves her again and they escape.

She hides her face with a magazine. When she checks the card, she realizes the drone has shared her location. People around her understand she is the player and pull out their weapons. She hides in a wax museum. Ella calls her and asks where she is. Katie says she’s at the museum and tells her not to tell anyone. Moments later, Ella and Daisy arrive and try to kill her. Katie fights back and locks them inside.

People spot her. Noel arrives and rescues her again. Katie apologizes for doubting him. Noel says, “This is not the time to be upset. In three minutes, the drone will reveal your location again.” Katie suggests finding a bomb-proof shelter. Noel takes her to Jack, who has a secret shelter in his house.

Jack thinks they are thieves. Before he can react, a bus full of people arrives. They force Jack inside and ask for the password. When attackers storm the house, Katie shoots Jack with an arrow to knock him unconscious so he can’t reveal the password.

They talk inside. Katie shares her failed acting story and says she has no future. Noel explains that he was once a soldier and refused a mission that got his entire team killed, except Louis. Louis now hates him.

Ella and Daisy arrive, torture Jack, and get the password. Noel calls a friend who hacks and explodes everyone’s phones. Using the chaos, Noel and Katie escape.

They are stopped by armored guards and taken to an agency headquarters. There they meet Louis, the leader, who demands 30% of the reward. Later, Noel senses that Louis plans to betray them. Katie doesn’t believe him at first.

In the garage, Katie realizes the truth. She escapes, but Louis captures Noel and brutally beats him. Louis blackmails Katie to come to the city theater. Only 16 minutes are left before sunset.

Katie decides to save Noel. At the theater, she threatens to kill herself if Noel isn’t released. Louis finally agrees. A massive fight breaks out. With only four minutes left, Katie escapes, and Louis chases her. She pulls the pin of a grenade from Louis’s pocket. The grenade explodes, killing Louis. Time runs out.

Katie wins the game and the prize: 3.6 billion dollars. Later, she builds companies, helps the poor, creates shelters for children, and marries Noel, living a happy life.
