"Spirit man Spirit man...We want Spirit man!" The children stood outside the theatre chanting for their favorite artist. What's all the racket about? A tall man walking by asked. "Don't you know about Spirit man?''A strong looking boy answered him. "No I don't" "He's our favorite hero & he has his own show tonight, but were too young to buy tickets. " A little girl with ponytails pointed to the electric sign that flashed his name advertising his show.~• The tall man walked over to a small television set where he could see the Spirit mans act where he would drink a smoking drink and slowly fade into invisiblity, leaving a pμff of mist where he stood. There were white neon lights making a frame around the tv, with space music, adding to his alien appearance. That's him, we just have to see him'"' She pleaded with her eyes. The man said he worked for the media and he would see what he could do. He disappeared into the lobby where a ticket taker was collecting tickets for the show. He explained to the man that he was a photographer that he was running a story on celebrities as he needed a few photos. Seconds later, the door opened where the idol face stood. It must have been Spirit man as he was beaming a strange glow as if surrounded by a halo. The tall man introduced himself as a writer who needed a story for his magazine, asking if he could do a interview. Spirit man opened his door more revealing a glittery top hat and ushered him in. Make it quick, Im on stage in a half hour." The media man didn't know how he would get the kids to see Spirit man while he was interested with the man who had a narrow angular face & mesmerizing eyes that seemed like diamonds. There was a glass chair he motioned him to sit at & a makeup vanity with lighted light bulbs that Spirit man sat at. The media man asked for his real name & a bit of history of his background. Spirit man looked into his eyes, his eye movements were illuminating. I cant tell you my name because i dont really have one. I was raised in a underworld city that i escaped from as a child. I have only vague memories of my childhood. I can tell you I survived by only the mirror people I met in the forest. "Who were the mirror people?" They landed one day on the island in a shinysilver space•craft that I explored when finding the door open. I found to my liking a tribe of fairy people with hair like trolls. Females with pink puffy hair, males with long flowing beards, very tiny in size, about four feet Id say. They were also very scientific as they had built their craft from space metals from their world they said was unlike my world. It took only a few days for me to learn their language as it consisted of only a alphabet of twelve letters. I traveled to their world in the speed of light as they were masters of time travel. There among the floating plants, I learned how to do things I could never do back home. The air and gravity allowed me to float as I learned how to change my cell structure to air particles to disolve into thin air! The tall man sat back in the glass chair, soaking his words in, almost in disbelief. "I saw your video outside." "That isn't all I can do, you must see my show, the whole show, I do more then fade into the air" He said with a perturbing smile. " Sure I'd like to see." "Then please do, and bring your friends" The glittery man handed him three tickets, his eyes moving like a gum ball machine. The tall reporter thanked him and gestured toward the door. A small velvet curtain opened slowly underneath the misty stage lights, the man sat next to the boy and girl he found outside. They were so happy to have seats to see their star. They had seen him only on tv in his hovering spacecraft that bobbed like a small boat over the moon. He was real to them, not just a actor on tv. Suddenly the curtain rose up where he stood, he was very attractive, like he had been assembled in the heavens and not entirely human, some robotic parts as well. He began to sing as a ghost like band emerged playing glass instruments. He sat a glass microphone as his style and voice seemed unusually new. As he sang his body lifted up in the air, like a ghost phantom illuminating in white lifting up his levitating body to music of flutes and brass crescending higher and higher. Then he began to fade away as obscure jazz notes squeaked making it seem surreal. The act was over. Spirit man had vanished, a trail of white smoke where his body had been. It strangely reminded the man of when he played a game called moon stars where he would fill pink containers with aither gas that existed somewhere in space. The collected aither then made the tv shows illuminate in a sea of ectoplasm. This is why there's a either cable, he discovered. The photographer man was so deep in thought he felt the children tugging at his sweater. "We need to go home" Sleepy eyes prayed upon him, needing attention. He stood up & stretched his legs. "Let's call it a night shall we?"
