MiMi & The Majique Pajamas

…a torrid tale

By Majique MiMiPublished 4 years ago Updated 4 years ago 3 min read
A purple fleece hooded pajama set.

I don’t like shopping 🛍 of any kind. The thought of PHYSICALLY going to the store gives me anxiety now.

I didn’t like it before the 🤯 either. Being plus sized and short af didn’t help my plight, but nevertheless, I managed to make it happen because I had to look “business casual” for work. But business casual was never really my jam and why would anyone own more than one pair of khakis???

😬🤦🏻‍♀️ my bad, was that insensitive?

So my look kinda became “business bohemian” during the week when I worked in the call center & while teaching at night to casual af when I just taught on Saturdays. 🤷🏻‍♀️

📌 To any school administrator reading this, seriously think about letting faculty dress down ALL the time. Not for nothin, when we’re comfortable, we’re happy. And when we’re happy, we’re more approachable, engaged and interactive with our students which brings their anxiety levels down thereby providing a more conducive learning environment for all.

Jeez my bad for the thesis 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

Anyhow, anywho. How y’all doin; what it do?

Welcome to the 🍍express 🌱💨 & ice water minute which has somehow taken HOURS to write.

Back to the majique pajamas 🥰 . Of course they’re purple because if you know MiMi, you know I’m a Prince ☔️ fanatic and purple is my favorite color.

And if you don’t know me, now you know this 🤷🏻‍♀️

But I didn’t mean to buy purple pajamas 🤦🏻‍♀️ and if I were actually OUT shopping, I would have never bought them because what I THOUGHT I bought was a cotton hooded sweatsuit with pockets.

🚨 Foul #1. There’s not a pocket anywhere to be found on this ensemble. 😐

🚨 Foul #2 This is not cotton nor sweatshirt material

🚨 Foul #3 It’s the most comfortable thing in the world to wear if I’m living in a frozen tundra somewhere.

⏸ 🙋🏻‍♀️ I know number three doesn’t make any sense to y’all, and I get it, but hang in there, I’ll explain.

I don’t order clothes often, cuz to be honest, I really don’t go anywhere ESPECIALLY in the winter cuz pfffft 🖕🏼that 🥶 💩. But since the weather is TRYING to warm up a lil bit , I need more “walk my Cheech clothes” hence why I was looking for a sweatsuit.

So, when I opened the parcel 📦 and found the “sweatsuit” the FIRST thing I noticed was how amazingly, freakishly soft it was. 🥰 I was like, “awwww it’s huggable, it’s sooo soft” …

…but then I whined, “but it’s not what I thought I ordered” 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

But then my inner MiMi said, “Try it on anyway, maybe it’ll look good on ya.”🤷🏻‍♀️

It does not. 😐

I look like the kid in the 🐰 costume from the movie A Christmas Story. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I 💩you not.

I looked like this…

BUT WAIT ONE DAG GUM MINUTE 🤣🤣🤣. I may have LOOKED like Peter.

🙋🏻‍♀️⏸ was his name Peter?

🤣🤣🤣 but I will be 💯 % real with y’all the pajamas made me FEEL like

So obviously I can’t wear them around “The Household” because it would feel too weird to LOOK like Peter Cottontail but FEEL like Prince 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

Especially during prayer 🤦🏻‍♀️ 🤣🤣🤣

Look, I ain’t right, never said I was right in any way, shape ,or form, but those jammies up there feel FREAKING AMAZEBALLS and would be PERFECT for WINTER just gettin out of a steamy shower with lavender and eucalyptus oils all up in the air, put these jammy jams on, light a cone full of Cookie Face, turn on the throwback R&B and whattttttt?

My fluffy 🍑 would have the best sleep EVER.

Jussayin, can’t walk the dog in em, 🤣 but these whole jawns are a VIBE!!!

Had to share, until next time

✌🏼💜💨
