My T-Shirt Business
I have three sample shirts, “Denial is not Just a River in Africa,” “Don’t Give Me Shit About My Meds,” and “Sober!!” I’m debating what shirts to make next. I need to get the “Sin Vergüenza” T-shirt going, or perhaps “Bill Wilson Sent Me.” I’m interested in making t-shirts to sell on my Etsy store but my bank is going to shut down my business account on January 30 if I don’t make extra money to put in that account. I’m looking for a steady paying job, and to publish my writing somewhere, as well as write articles. This is one way I have to generate funds. My t-shirt business is supposed to make sales on the Etsy store. I’m going to try to do this when I make extra income from a part-time work from home online job.

Interview with an Ethically Motivated CEO
This interview came out of a research project I completed for my English class. The project was on the subject of "fast fashion," which is a term used to reference the production of cheap, in demand clothing. I interviewed Jessica Kelly, the founder of Thr3efold, which is a company with a "threefold mission of people, planet, and profit" that is working to connect designers with ethical factories and form business relationships that are economically sustainable and environmentally friendly. One of the things about Thr3efold that piqued my interest was the fact that their founder is from my hometown, and she has firsthand experience with the local impact of fashion and how it makes its way down the chain of ownership. You can read the interview below.

How to Wear Tie Dye Jeans like a Pro
Hippies and summer camp gave tie dye a bad rep. The truth is, cultures around the world have been tie dyeing fabric since the start of civilization, with the oldest piece of tie dyed material dating back to at least 6,200 years ago in Peru.

Why Designer Clothes Are so Expensive
Can a luxury brand really raise prices on a striped cotton shirt just because of the label on it? This type of question about why designer clothes are so expensive has been left unanswered in the fashion industry for decades. There are some pieces of designer clothing which have an understandably higher price tag, because the design is unique or the material is super rare. Alternatively though, we see simple designer t-shirts costing hundreds of dollars, and we begin to wonder why? Designer clothes are so expensive for a variety of reasons, and understanding the fashion industry is the first step to getting to the bottom of it all.

What Is Normcore?. Top Story - November 2018.
Once upon a time, there were individuals who did not care about fashion trends and would wear anything that was comfy. Individuals who on their day off loved non-cool sneakers and non-trendy skinny jeans. These were individuals who did not care to know what hemline was out and what color was in. These were individuals who took the description of classic clothing (long-lasting, simple, and elegant) and removed the style and elegance from of the definition. These were individuals who unknowingly invented "Normcore."
