They keep us safe everyday. Freeing us up to live our lives in whatever fashion we desire, but do you really know them? There are four major branches of the United States Military, and each of them do very specific things. The Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps are the big four, and for the sake of this article we are going to set aside their respective reserve components.

To My Cousin
When I was younger, I lived in the States – The United States of America. The war in Iraq was very real in my grade five mind, and I respected and was in awe of the military. They risked their lives even just by signing up for service. We had an older lady who just seemed to always be there (I know she wasn’t a teacher, but I don’t recall what her actual job was) who had a son in Iraq. That always struck a cord with me.

9/11 Memories... Never Forget
It was one of those moments that make you want to scream. I didn’t know what was going on, or why things were happening. I was too young to truly understand, yet, somehow, I was completely aware of the possibilities. Just moving from Ohio, we were in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the time, my dad was an Air Force Captain at Nellis, Air Force Base. I was seven years old, a mere third grader.
