There are so many Military History videos on the web.
Since its inception during the mid 2000s, YouTube has been a go- to site for just about any subject out there. The subjects range from the mundane and weird to popular to obscure. One popular topic is Military History and YouTube has many professional and self-made videos produced for the service. There are five different YouTube channels that I subscribe to and periodically enjoy. Among the subjects discussed are the world wars, the Cold War, espionage, and the current state of affairs. Most of the videos run anywhere from a few minutes to about 20 minutes in length, making them very user-friendly. Each program is well researched and is narrated off- screen by the content creator.

Once a Military Brat...
My dad is retired Navy. He was in for 20 years, until I was in high school. Throughout my life, my dad taught me a lot of life lessons and skills that I believe had a lot to do with his military experience. He taught my sisters and I some amazing work ethic, the importance of dedication and passion in what you do, and how to always follow through with your commitments. These lessons followed me, and to this day, even at 24 years old, I still live by one specific motto my dad taught me. He once said to me, "no matter what job you're doing, if I walk into your place of work, you better be the best and most hardworking person there."

The hero behind the heroes who serve our country
Heroes. They can be men like King Leonidas of Sparta at the Battle of Thermopylae. They can be women like Katherine Johnson who intricately calculated the trajectory of the 1969 Apollo 11 mission to the moon. They can champion seismic change like Martin Luther King Jr. or their contribution can go unnoticed for over a century like Ada Lovelace, who is said to have written the instructions for the first computer program in the mid-1800s even though her work went undiscovered until the 1950s.

Heroic Female Spies - World War Two
Bravery. Whether you have a lot of it or only a little, at one point in your life you will need to be brave. Whether you have to give a speech to your bosses in a large boardroom, or you have to get a spider out of the bathroom – you will need to use your inner bravery. But whatever bravery is called upon, it’s unlikely you’ll ever have to face the terrifying situations thousands of female spies confronted in World War Two. But this group of pioneering women put all fears aside to help Britain and her allies win the war against Germany, through acts of incredible bravery. Their story deserves to be heard and their amazing achievements known.

What Are the Best Recent War Films?
War films have been a staple genre for cinema ever since the medium of moving pictures was invented, and they’re still going strong today. Whilst it can be seen that there aren’t as many being made nowadays (partly due to the main tales being told and the emergence of franchise films), the drop in quantity has been more than made up for in the rise of quality. In recent years there have been several well made war films that depict the many wars of the 20th century in a high quality cinematic light. So which war films have been the stand out must sees in the past few years?

'Full Metal Jacket' Film Review
I have always been particularly intrigued by films whose beginnings contrast with their endings in terms of both tone and themes. If there is a genre that I have explored the least thus far, it is war, but Stanley Kubrick’s Full Metal Jacket is much more than a war film; it presents themes which illustrate the psychological anguish that comes with serving in the military.
