Here are some key things to watch out for today on Watch out Wednesdays!
- Observe how people treat you today. Take the time to evaluate your interactions with people throughout the day. These evaluations will open your eyes to see which relationships that you need to keep and which people that you need to keep at arm's length. Make today the day that you will no longer keep those who want to hurt you close to you.
- Keep track of your food intake. Staying in shape during the holidays is a challenge. An average person gains between one pound and two pounds from Thanksgiving until Christmas. Watch what you eat so that you will not watch yourself gain weight.
- Create a new beginning for yourself. Choose to do something today that you have never done. Well, you have already reached this objective by reading this post about observation.
- Talk face-to-face with someone. Go beyond a text. Hold an actual conversation with another person today.
- Totally destroy your obstacles today. If you are dealing with something, then stop dealing with it today. Obliterate the issue today so that you no longer have to deal with it in the future.
- Listen to music. Listening to one of your favorite songs today will give you the capability to leave your lowest low; embarking on a journey to reach your highest high.
- Put your life in your hands. Stop waiting for someone to give you a lifeline. You control your destiny. Make things happen today by staying out of the 'Whatever will be will be' mentality. Make an impact. Become the difference.
- Challenge yourself to go throughout the whole day today without stealing from someone, without defrauding anyone, without oppressing someone, and without taking a bribe from someone.
- Be grateful for what you have. Realize that there is someone else on this earth that is worse off than you. One useful tip that I use is checking out the news in Africa. Well, at least I am not going through what most of the people in that continent go through on a daily basis.
- Do not settle for mediocrity. Going for excellence will allow for you to break away from the mediocre masses.
- Look to help someone else. Seeking to help others will keep your mind off the adversity that you may be going through at this time.
- Align yourself with greatness. Aligning yourself with other great people means that you will now have a great support system whenever you may get into a sticky situation.
- Be compassionate towards others. Do not make yourself immune to another person's problems. Help to solve other people's problems before their problems become your problems.
- Realize that you are not inferior to anyone else. We are all on the same playing field because we are all human beings. We all have the capability to acquire knowledge and to gain understanding upon the information that you take in on a daily basis.
- Stay out of flattery. Giving other people fake compliments is flaky. Choose not to undermine others with your mouth.
- Stay committed. Life is a journey; stay on course. Do not be distracted.
- Do things now while you have strength. Do not take your life for granted. Accomplish what you need to do now before you become too old to not be able to fulfill your goals and your dreams.
- Keep seeking knowledge. Acquiring knowledge is like drawing water from a well. Think of knowledge as refreshment for the mind.
- Be wary of teenagers that are going around doing the "Door Kick Challenge."
