The most avoided subject

It is amazing how our minds work, even throughout the years of technological developments among many other advancements. Yet, it is so fragile like an eggroll wrapper.

All it takes is one word, scent or just a memory then the mind becomes so vulnerable to the point where we think it is so shameful to reach out for help. Yet we reach out for help when it comes to our financial, physical or residential issues. Our minds require so much maintenance that it is frowned upon in our society nowadays.

What has to happen for our mind's health to be taken seriously? Multiple panic attacks, thinking it is a heart attack? When we have to drown ourselves in piles of pills and be labeled as an addict? Or go on a shooting spree for the heck of it? Why do people have to suffer while trying to better themselves?

Why do we have to pay the price for not meeting the society's standards of perfection? Why can't the society praise people in general than just the elites? Why can't we be treated the same with mental health? Is my mental health a price tag?

Why do we avoid facing the issues deep rooted inside our minds? We do not have the support system designed to endure the angry backlashes of the mind when its being maintained. When we face the issues, we are expected to accept it as it is and move on. We are to act the way society has trained us, and expect nothing but what society wants to offer. We aren't allowed to inspect the situation and analyze and let our inner children grow into the adults we are trying to be.

We do not need to let what our parents and the society has taught us control us today, we can break the cycle. We need to show the society that their ways aren't working and that we need to work as a team to grow. So we can learn about how individuals' mind differ and similarize. With what information we learn through this journey is what we can work with to find what works for us. We just have to not give up and that is normally the first thing the mind thinks of if something goes wrong.

We need to change the mindset and that is where we need to change our thinking for the time being. Think with our hearts first and let the inner child think/decide for her/himself what to do with the information, feelings or thoughts the situation brings. We just need to learn how to trust ourselves in order to think with our hearts. Many people may say the mind is stronger than the heart when it is the other way around. The heart is the backbone of the mind, and that is where love comes from. Love for the mindset, love for the inner beauty and love for the acceptance of our flaws.

The heart may be the strength of the body but our minds make us unique and we cannot survive without our mind being intact.

Don't be ashamed to reach out for help before it is too late and be damned to those who thinks shaming is helping. Shaming is never the solution, so is accusing one another as an attention seeking person. You will never know if it was the final push they needed to push their lives into the darkness forever. Be thoughtful, be there and just listen.

Our minds deserve to heal on our own standards at our own pace in peace. <3
