anxiety
A look at anxiety in its many forms and manifestations; what is the nature of this specific pattern of extreme fear and worry?
Anxiety has stopped.
All my life have I been a worrier. Don't really recall when it first started, but as far as I remember I was afraid. As I grew up, I kept adding new things to my fear list. Fear of snakes, fear of heights, fear of dark blue waters, fear of making a fool of myself, fear of speaking my mind.. until I realised I was suddenly afraid of rollercoasters, which I used to love.

My windowsill monster
In all the days I've sat and watched other's lives go by, I never once thought to consider my future or my present. It's usually just my past sat across the windowsill from me forcing me to look away from the sunset outside the window and listen to the hurtful words and memories it throws at me.

Resilience
As she waited for her date, Sloan fidgeted with everything on which she could lay her hands: the flatware, the wine glass, the napkin, the small vase of flowers, and the small candle. She rearranged them all. When she’d exhausted touching all the items on the table, she turned to her lap and proceeded to smooth her dress and pick the small pieces of lint from it. Her mind raced with so many thoughts. Multiple questions circled repeatedly despite her attempts to halt them.

Can Gut Bacteria Cause Anxiety?
Many people all over the world are suffering and struggling with anxiety and depression. Most people don’t know why they can’t shake the nerves or sadness. It’s a mystery. Hundreds of thousands are on prescription medication to control symptoms. Many people self medicate with things like alcohol, marijuana, or some other substance to temporarily pull them out of the rut. There are also those who go a holistic route, eating healthy, getting adequate rest at night, exercising is famous for relieving anxiety due to the release of endorphins after a hard workout, yoga trains to calm the mind, and then there are various forms of meditation to attempt to soothe the dis-ease. How to handle such an issue is different and personal for everyone. Why is even occurs could be different for each person as well.

Ever Feel So Stressed When Someone Doesn’t Text Back?
Sometimes there is no worse feeling to someone who has ocd or anxiety than writing ✍️ a text to someone and waiting for a response back. It’s like watching a pot that never boils or hearing every tick on a watch yet not moving anywhere.

The waiting game
Her anxiety grows, alone in this cell waiting for either freedom or she fears more punishment. A tear falls as she gazes around her room. A small childs bed that she had outgrown years ago. A small four drawer dresser sits in the shadows, barely filled with clothes. A small wooden table by her bed that holds her only light.
