How Your Sense of Humour Affects Your Mental Health.
Studies show that certain styles of humour can suggest our risk of depression through cognitive distortions. Cognitive distortions are negative thought patterns that often lead to depression and dysphoria (the opposite of euphoria).

No Escape - The Invisible Man
The very last breath of my life was noticed by only one soul. One slow, knowing exhale and I finally let myself go as I heard the final call “hoo hooo hoo?” The night owl that had been calling to me every night was the only connection I had left with the outside world, the only communication I had day after day, and night after night. I had become invisible. The invisible man. People moved around me, moved me around, talked around me, and worst of all? They talk about me as though I was not even there! I screamed in my head that I was alive! That I could hear them, but no one heard, not one single soul, until the old barn owl started to visit, and then I wasn’t alone anymore. I was so scared to die alone, so scared that no one at all would notice when I took my last breath, that no one would see when my soul left my body, that no one would care when it happened. The owl would notice, he would care, and he had to be enough because he was all that I had.

Suicide is Prevalent
How to deal with people who can’t stand you? (I ignore them.) How to keep going on when you can’t keep going on? I hear about people ending their lives because I guess they are unhappy, scared, or depressed. It becomes dangerous and destructive. I mainly hear depression is the reason people commit suicide. They commit suicide because they cannot go another day of living on earth. Do they have friends or someone to talk to? We should be more open to friendships and relationships. Human touch, hugs, talking, and knowing you have someone there for you. Human touch builds up the immune system too. It makes people healthy too. I think that is wonderful that friends make us healthier. Friends help us smile and help us live longer.

Why Women Stay in Abusive Marriages
In my senior year of high school, my English literature teacher liked to shoot the breeze and play Frank Sinatra records between teaching lessons. Like everyone else, I enjoyed his class, even though he made us read The Great Gatsby, one of the most boring books I’ve had the displeasure to read. One day, I don’t know how he got on the topic; he made the statement that any woman who “let” a man beat her up “enjoyed it.”

How to adjust environment when entering Sober Living in Lorain, OH
Addiction is a terrible thing and adjusting to a new environment is the first step toward recovery. Once you are in a sober living program, you will be surrounded by other recovering addicts and sober spouses. The environment will teach you to distinguish physical dependency from emotional dependence and how to prevent triggers. It is not an easy road to recovery, but it is not impossible.

The Drift of the Limited & Ordinary
Select your category Don’t you think that the reason you’re not really capable of writing something that will shock or surprise people, is because your life is mediocre? Where do you think the magic comes from? If you’re not living it, if you don’t grind on the edge, what story are you planning to tell? Is it all copies of copies from the head? What about the heart?

Can A Dream Tell Us The Future
Much has been written regarding dreams and their meanings or purpose. Mankind has been fascinated with our dreams since the first dreamer awoke and wondered about what their visions meant. Since ancient times we have looked to our dreams to find signs of what our future holds. The first written dreams we know of were in 4000 BC. The earliest writings we have on dreams are primarily texts on their religious and spiritual significance.
