Dear Jas Waters
Lately I can not get Jas Waters off of my mind. This beautiful accomplished woman who was in the entertainment/media/film industry who is no longer here. It is so important to check on your loved ones especially these days. In the covid-19 era we have no idea what's on our loved ones minds. We all see so much craziness all around us it can be stressful and take a toll on our mental health. As we know it does not matter how rich or famous you are, it doesn't matter how beautiful or successful you are. You can have everything and still feel as if something in your life is missing. A lot of suicidal people never leave a note or any warning. We have to be over cautious of our self and those around us. These are extremely sensitive times. I am writing this letter in honor of Jas Water as a black woman, journalist, writer and suicide prevention advocate.

When depression isn’t depression
I have a real issue with depression being termed a mental illness… wait, let me finish… because sometimes depression isn’t depression. Sometimes it’s a normal and natural state of being and by calling this depression we are labelling a whole group of people as mentally ill when in fact they’re perfectly well.

Teal
Teal The woman sat on the edge of a pale green sofa, her legs crossed at the ankles. She was thinking, he supposed, as she stared unblinking off into space. The sun filtered in through a window, making the woman’s short red hair flame against her ivory face. Her white shirt gaped a little in the middle where the buttons strained to hold hands. She sighed then spoke, “I remembered that the nursery was painted teal, I always remember the colours of things, especially since that day. I also remember pain,” she looked up at him, her brown eyes deep in memory, “I was in labour for eighteen hours.”

What Holds Back Subliminal Results? Part 1
If you've been on my channel for a while, you'll probably remember the food and drink theme. I built it around a concept of comparing subliminals to edible things, with affirmations equivalent to energy and nutrients absorbed from foods and drinks. But just as some people may not receive the effects they expect from what they physically consume, subliminal listeners often find that they are not receiving desired results. The absence or temporary nature of results is not due to a single factor, but rather varies from person to person. Here, I will be discussing reasons I have deduced for lack of results, based on observations, feedback, and my own experience.

Trauma and Drug Addiction
We often do not realize that trauma sets off things in our life that we simple do not anticipate. Rather that be feelings, emotions, events, endings, trauma is the one unexpected visitor that we never can anticipate. We look at our community now and a lot of the youth and adults are addicted to some type of drug. But where does this all start? Is it the constant bickering between parents that causes the child to search for an escape or the neglectful parenting that makes one run to another source for just .... anything? Could he be the young girl who was placed in a custody battle but ended up with the wrong parent? I mean I could go on, a lot of times we talk about the drugs in communities but we don’t associate the trauma.
