Let’s Talk: The Collective Needs Healing-Why and How?
Hey guys, gals and non-binary pals. Let’s Talk: The Collective Needs Healing: Why and How? It is a truth universally acknowledged that mental health is taboo and extremely stigmatized. Is that what Jane said? No? Well she should have. Society brushes that under the rug way too much. In fact, they go beyond the rug. No amount of shovels could ever dig up the depth that we have buried this topic. It’s become demonized and seen as something to be ashamed of, a showcase of weakness — -that to recognize the state of your mental means to proclaim insanity. No one wants to become alienated, ridiculed or seen as inferior so we do our best to hide those not-so-pretty parts of ourselves. We bear it all alone, facades in tow, in effort to “protect” ourselves. Oh how we couldn’t be any more misinformed? These stigmas manifest from misguided views. A lack of education and information, if you will.

5 Traits of Highly Sensitive People
For as long as I can remember, I’ve considered myself oversensitive. As a young child, I was labelled by my teachers and friends as shy, sensitive and emotional. The REAL Truth Behind Growing Up With Social Anxiety
If you were to scroll to the first thing I ever uploaded to Vocal, you'd probably look at this and go.. "Didn't you already write this article before?". The answer is yes. I did. Four years ago, when I first discovered Vocal's existence, I made some crappy article about having social anxiety that somehow did pretty well (surprisingly). I recently reread the article and realized just how much I wish I was able to change with this article if I was able. I won't lie.. I've actually considered deleting the article all together (sadly vocal doesn't allow you to delete articles though.. although I'm thankful for that, because I wouldn't want to erase my old work from existence). So instead.. I've decided that if I wasn't a fan of the article before.. why not just reedit it into an article I actually would be proud of. So that's what I did.

The Biggest Lie Your Anxiety Tells You
When I was braving a crippling, seemingly never-ending tsunami of anxiety, I could not believe I would ever get better. It was my junior year of high school — a period of my life that feels like an eternity away and yet was very recent — when students were gearing up for university and scholarship applications. I was a conscientious student with promising plans on the horizon: to attend my dream school and become a teacher. I maintained a 4.0 GPA through hours of studying and writing assignments, surrounding myself with a wonderful group of friends who encouraged both my personal and academic pursuits.

Stress, Anxiety, and Suicide
School has started for me this month (which means more stress and anxiety), and with current events continuing to enter our lives, whether we realize it or not, it seems that our reactions to the environment around us could take hold of our thoughts and emotions.
