That’s a great question. Let’s start with the statistics.
The Statistics
One study from Addictionhelp.com reported that 69% of men and 40% of women in America view online porn each year. In January 2024, Pornhub, the leading social media platform for adult entertainment, reported an estimated 11.4 billion mobile visits from users, globally.

How to Quit Porn
5 Steps to Breaking Free From Pornography.
You have to want to stop. In order to cure any addiction, the first step is always taking accountability and acknowledging that there is a problem. If you are aware that there is a problem, you have to want to make the changes necessary to fix it.
You have to be open to all possible solutions. It’s important to be solution-oriented. If you have a problem like addiction and want to fix it, chances are you’re going to have to work through trial and error to see what the best plan of action is for your circumstances. What works for one person may not work for the other, and you’re going to have to work through that.
You need to get rid of any pornography that you have. Don’t hold onto anything. This can be applied to any addiction, but with regard to pornography, you don’t want any temptation whatsoever. Get rid of the downloads, the apps, the homemade videos, all of it.
You need to prevent porn from popping up on your devices. Since we live in the age of technology and porn is so easily accessible, it’s available at the touch of a button. Because of this, it can then make its way into your personalized feed when you’re on social media and show up in your web browser. You have to block any entry points for porn to enter your devices using accountability software.
You need support. Just like any struggle with addiction, you’re going to need a good support system in order to stay on the right track. This can mean leaning on family, joining a support group, or finding an accountability partner.
