2020 has been very interesting. There have been many ebbs, flows and changes in what I consider to be the most challenging and turbulent year due to the Corona virus pandemic. Most economies are now open again as the summer draws to a close. Things are set to get busy with Back to School season fast approaching. Parents scrambling to arrange for their children's distance learning needs. Businesses are also trying to rebound. Others have experienced severe damage and are now unable to return. Everyone is now wondering if this is the new normal or if there will be another wave of the virus. Although it can feel difficult to plan for tomorrow, there are some things you can do to keep your mind and body sane as you navigate through these turbulent times. Continue reading to learn more.

Accept Your Current Situation

Acceptance allows you to distinguish between what you can and cannot control. Acceptance allows you to let go of worrying about things outside your control and instead focus on what you can change. Acceptance of their current situation can be difficult for many people, especially when it isn't in their favor. Whatever your current situation, it doesn't matter how difficult it is. The first step to accepting what you can't change and hoping that things will improve over time is to have enough courage. Acceptance can change your outlook and help you become more practical with the things that you pay attention to. Focusing on the things you can control will help you steer your life in a positive direction and maintain a clear mind.

Take responsibility for your own happiness

Happiness is something that you can do alone. You must realize that your life is not going to change unless you make it so. It is not possible to do the same thing repeatedly expecting different results. You can have peace of mind by making a conscious decision to end all actions that are preventing you from having tranquility and peace of mind. You might need to practice self-love, compassion, and be gentle with yourself. It might be necessary to be gentler and more compassionate with yourself. No matter what the case, you deserve happiness. Take control of your life by examining your thoughts, choices and actions.

Be True to Yourself

It is easy to become unhappy by going against your conscience. Ever find yourself saying one thing, but then doing the opposite? Then you feel deep sadness and regret. This is what happens often when you don't stay true to yourself. Your inner convictions about life are important. Your inner voice, your spiritual GPS and emotional compass are there to help you do the right thing. True to yourself means not trying to live up to others' expectations or being someone you aren't. This means being true to yourself and trusting that you can make the right decisions to make your life happy.

Don't Expect Anything

You can have peace of mind by letting go of your expectations about how things should be. We set expectations for how things will turn out in our lives. When they don't, we get upset. This can cause us to lose our inner peace. This is true for expectations we have about others in our lives. You might be a wife and want your husband to behave in a way you like. You will feel resentful and sad when your husband does the opposite. This could lead to unrest and conflict. In such situations, it is best to let go and love unconditionally.

Practice Still

Are you always busy? Are you living a busy lifestyle? It might be necessary to slow down to evaluate the quality of your life. Take a moment to be still and notice the simple things. Ask yourself the questions that will help determine if you are happy at your job, or if you enjoy your relationship. Being still has the benefit of calming your mind from racing thoughts, which is essential for peace. Praying, meditation, relaxation and exercise are all ways to promote stillness. To promote stillness in life, take some time to do any of these.
