Harnessing the Power of Energy Centers: A Neurodivergent’s Journey from Dysregulation to Inner Alignment
Energy work, chakras, and the concept of subtle energy centers have long fascinated the world. While some dismiss these practices as unscientific, others—especially those who begin experiencing energetic shifts—often find themselves transformed by the profound impact of this inner work. Often referred to as Energy Healing, Quantum Healing, or simply Inner Work, this path can be deeply empowering.

Energy work, chakras, and the concept of subtle energy centers have long fascinated the world. While some dismiss these practices as unscientific, others—especially those who begin experiencing energetic shifts—often find themselves transformed by the profound impact of this inner work. Often referred to as Energy Healing, Quantum Healing, or simply Inner Work, this path can be deeply empowering.
As a neurodivergent individual with ADHD and Autism, I’ve had many special interests. Over the past few years, I’ve become immersed in topics like Quantum Physics, Neuroscience, Energy Transformation, Consciousness, and the impact of trauma on the nervous system. Since 9 December 2023, I’ve been practicing Breathwork daily, and the effect on my nervous system has been nothing short of life changing. It has helped me manage my behaviors, traits, and coping mechanisms with greater ease and self-awareness.
Many who commit to breathwork, meditation, and inner child integration over time begin to experience deep energetic shifts. The same has happened for me. Through this journey, I’ve come to realize there is timeless wisdom embedded in ancient healing modalities—especially around the concept of energy centers (chakras).
As neurodivergent, we often perceive the world in deeply intuitive ways, noticing connections and patterns others might miss. I’ve started to map how imbalances in specific energy centers correspond to our behaviors, emotional states, and inner struggles. Below is an outline of how I understand these energy centers and their relevance to neurodivergent experiences.

🌱 Root Energy Centre (Mooladhara)
Theme: Safety, Grounding, Stability in our Physical Reality
When balanced, this center brings a sense of physical and emotional safety.
This gets blocked due to Emotional Safety issues.
When imbalanced (underactive or overactive), we may experience:
• Fear, anxiety, chronic overwhelm
• Emotional dysregulation
• Disconnection from the present moment
🔻 From my experience: I never felt emotionally safe in my own body—my Root Centre was blocked.
• Inattentive ADHDers may have an underactive root, leading to dissociation and lack of presence.
• Hyperfocused ADHDers may have an overactive root, resulting in constant vigilance and tension.
Balance is the key.

🧡 Sacral Energy Centre (Svadhisthana)
Theme: Emotions, Relationships, Pleasure
Imbalance here often shows up as:
• Addictive or compulsive behaviors
• Emotional detachment or isolation
• Relationship struggles
🔻 From my experience:
Due to emotional sensitivity passed down from my parents and grandparents, I developed deep emotional voids. This contributed to compulsive eating and co-dependent relationship patterns and other relationship issues due to feelings of Emotional Vulnerability.
Balance is the key.

☀️ Solar Plexus Energy Centre (Manipura)
Theme: Willpower, Action, Confidence, Personal Power
Imbalance in this center may lead to:
• Inability to take aligned action (Underactive in some aspects)
• Visibility fears, low self-trust
• Constant hustle with little fulfilment (Overactive in some aspects)
🔻 From my experience:
This imbalance made it difficult for me to trust my decisions, take action, or feel confident. I often felt stuck in cycles of fear, guilt, and shame—disconnected from my personal power.

💸 Manipura & Money Blocks
This centre also governs our relationship with money.
A scarcity mindset, financial stress, or fear of abundance can all stem from Manipura imbalances.
🔻 From my experience:
My fear and lack of emotional safety translated into money blocks—difficulty receiving and holding abundance with ease. Stress, fear, and overwhelm dominated my financial patterns.

🔄 The Vicious Cycle which affected me
• Emotional sensitivity created early safety issues (Root Energy Centre Imbalance).
• Those issues evolved into compulsive behaviors and relationship patterns (Sacral Energy Centre Imbalance).
• Which then impaired my confidence and action-taking (Solar Plexus).
• Resulting in burnout, chronic dysregulation, and financial struggles (Manipura).
This is not just a psychological or behavioral cycle—it’s energetic. These centers govern how we feel, act, and relate to the world. And when imbalanced, especially in neurodivergent individuals.

🌬️ The Power of Daily Inner Work
Since committing to consistent breathwork, I’ve been slowly regulating my nervous system, rebalancing these energy centers, and uncovering new layers of inner peace. This isn't about "fixing" myself—it's about aligning with my true neurodivergent potential.
Through this practice, I’ve come to realize that many of our struggle’s stem from deep energy imbalances linked to trauma, stress and inherited emotional patterns. My journey blends Ancient Wisdom, modern Neuroscience Research, Quantum Physics, and lived experience—a reminder that it's time to Integrate Science and Spirituality.

💫 Why This Matters for Neurodivergent
We have highly sensitive nervous systems. We feel deeply. We think in spirals and patterns, not lines. When we honor this, and learn how to work with our energy, we can begin to thrive in our uniqueness—not just survive it.
The path of inner work—breathwork, energy awareness, emotional healing—is not easy. But it is powerful. It helps us leap beyond survival and into a life of Authenticity, Purpose, and Creativity.
