The Process that Works

I feel the need to release some great tips about keeping our minds healthy. It isn’t something we as people are always conscious of during our busy daily lives, unless we’ve been trained to think about it. Without someone to discuss what is on our minds, we would need to think through it ourselves. Thinking it over doesn't automatically mean you've found a solution or choosing what is best overall. I am sharing a process that can help someone through a lot of situations throughout their life. It is like a guideline to being a happy, healthy, productive person.

So, I am an overcomer of a variety of challenges and difficulties in my life. I personally am not the type to brag or complain about my experiences too much. I do however wish to help people with my examples and experiences. I believe that if I’ve already been through that struggle and overcame it, that my friends and family shouldn’t have to go through the same thing. Instead, I would like them to learn from me. That is how we evolve and grow stronger. Relearning lessons are sometimes a setback instead of a reminder. I don’t want that for you. So, I am giving you some ideas of a process I know that works.

Whether we as people are open about our mental health or not, it is essential to living a healthy life. We do need to live healthy lives. One really good tip is to stay optimistic even in the face of adversity and when you are challenged. I’m not saying to be cocky but to be confident. So, any negative thoughts of self-doubt are toxic. Though it is important to know your strengths and weaknesses, you really shouldn’t be too hard on yourself. You definitely don’t want to become your own worst enemy. Some people push themselves and sometimes become their worst critic. It is okay and also smart to motivate yourself but forgive yourself for any shortcomings and remember to not push yourself too hard. Another thought to remember is to not set yourself up for failure. Which means don’t try to achieve the impossible and then disappoint yourself. Sometimes, we can actually achieve things we never thought we could. So, it is up to you to decide what works for you and what you want to try to do.

This is a very basic process that can help anyone stay on the path to success. First, you set some goals. Even if you only set one goal at a time and accomplish it, you are accomplishing something. Reward yourself in some way and know you accomplished something. You need to have a plan and determination. Don’t give up on yourself. It is also important to know all your strengths and weaknesses. So, mainly focus on your good characteristics when you evaluate yourself. I suggest that you self-evaluate if you ever start feeling down or any feelings of depression. Remember we are all unique human beings and have something great about each and every one of us. You should also think about the impact you have had on this world, the people in it, and your own life. So, I’m saying “Don’t focus on negativity or unpleasant thoughts and feelings”. Instead think about what makes you happy, proud, and gives you a sense of fulfillment. All of these thoughts are to help you and are great for your mind, body, soul, and the very world we live in.

Now, just knowing how to do something, to fix something, or having the solution isn't always enough. You have to actually put in effort. Which means you need to show initiative and to actually accomplish your goals at some point. That requires you to have follow through. Doing this will give you a sense of satisfaction and is a reward in itself.
