"Vib"ranium
First off "Spoiler Alert" just watched the new Captain America movie. So......there will be some references to the movie. there are a couple perspectives of Vibranium i will touch on. The most obvious is the cosmic metal that was used to make adamantium. Ok I'm 16 walking into Wegmans'; where Alec Baldwins mother shops for her groceries; to purchase a Marvel Universe update 89' comic. I walked to the magazine isle to see the selection of comics. while I was thumbing through my thoughts."lets see Wolverine, Uncanny X-men, Fantastic Four, Thor. Wow! whats this!" I came upon a gem. See I hadn't planned to purchase a Marvel encyclopedia; but when I saw it I knew. that It was exactly what I wanted. You see the encyclopedias' detailed out certain things like A character's names: like Blade's,which was unknown; teams history: like the Avengers and X-men headquarters were located in upstate New York; and super descriptions: like Adamantium is a combinations of metals. 50 percent and 50 various other metals. the advance of the various metals should be 45 percent Uru and 5 percent Titanium. Why Uru? Uru is tied to Urusalem in the Arc of the covenant; but I digress. You see in the comic books, and a wolverine origin story in the movies. Adamantiun was created by Stryker in a Canadian Research facility. Where he placed on weapon X of Alpha Flight's bones. when you know this comic book info. It makes it difficult to reconcile that adamantium came from space in the form of a Celestial AI being. this is exactly what happened in the Captain America a new world movie. I wonder if viewers of Harry Potter and Twilight had the same trouble as I did reconciling. Fortunately, the presence of Wakandan Tech and Vibranium in the movie was well represented. Now that we have dicussed the objective perspective of Vibranium. next we will discuss the subjective.

Cindy and Chris
Cindy trembled as her stepmother berated her, yelling profanities and slurs like they were her names. Nancy had taken over the doublewide trailer since Cindy’s sweet, caring father had died suddenly a year earlier, and Ms. Stone was a raging alcoholic. Because Cindy’s father was so loving and accepting, she had fully transitioned in middle school to living her life as a girl, but her drunk stepmother didn’t really like the fact that Cindy identified as a woman. She would point out any masculine features remaining, and say Cindy would never truly pass for a girl.

Reasons Why a Gay Man Loves Baseball
A gay man who loves baseball? No way! Yes, it's true. There are gay people who love America's past time. Don't believe me? Search #gaybaseballfan and you'll see a plethora of photos of people like me showing love for our respective teams. Not only that, but they're fans of their respective teams. 29 out of the 30 MLB teams celebrate Pride Night at their ballparks. The only one who has yet to do this is my beloved Texas Rangers. I've talked about them being homophobic and not having a Pride Night in a story last year, which I'll link down below. More recently, I had to call out Los Angeles Dodgers player Clayton Kershaw for bigoted and homophobic comments he made in an interview back in 2023. I didn't hold back in putting him in his place. I'll also have a link to that story down below. Let's just say that I let him know about myself and why I'll never look at him the same way again.

Ancestry, Addiction, and the American Dream: A Review of "On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous" by Ocean Vuong
Sometimes you pick up a book that is so deep, beautiful, and layered in meaning, the words, without saying, ask you to put them down for a moment, just to be sure you're ready for them. Ocean Vuong's debut novel, On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous demands us to feel. It isn't just Vuong's story, or the format of his novel in the shape of a letter to his mother who cannot read, that makes On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous impactful, though. Vuong's craft is so stunning, thought-provoking, and intentional that you cannot help but be suffocated by his words; in that mesmerizing asphyxiation is where we meet his narrator, Little Dog, and in his story, we are reminded of pieces of ourselves, or maybe a loved one, or perhaps the fragments of someone we might once have known. Ocean Vuong doesn't flinch and in doing so connects dots over decades to tell a story that is not just Little Dog's, but so much of North America's.
