Standing Valentine's Without a Partner

Solitude but with a hope

Hearts in red array,

moonlight paints the silent play,

I walk here alone.

.

Voices drift like mist,

soft refrains of love assist,

yet I stand apart.

.

Stars above me shine,

watch my quiet thoughts refine,

dreams dissolve in night.

.

Petals gently fall,

sorrows from a distant hall,

cryings fade away.

.

Yet in midnight’s dark,

hope still blooms within my heart,

love’s embrace remains.

Yes, Sir! Hold on to Hope! If your dreams dissolve, it's only so new ones may accumulate. Every door that closes opens a new one. Touching poetry. ⚡💙⚡

  • This was so poignantly beautiful. Sending you lots of love and hugs ❤️
