Simple Man
One thing, that never will change, never ever!
As I get older, thoughts like this start creeping in—what do I want the world to remember about me? What’s the one thing that should last long after I’m gone?
And then it hit me. If there were one song to be played at my funeral, one song that truly captures the essence of my life, it would be Simple Man. That’s it. That’s what I want to leave behind.
Success? It fades. It’s nice, sure—but in the end, it means nothing. What really matters is leaving this world as the person I truly am. That’s everything.

S I M P L E M A N
I was born in a town, under northern skies,
Where the streets stretched wide, and dreams could rise.
But a restless heart doesn’t stay in one place,
I took a camera and a pen, began my chase.
*
From the cities of Europe to the people of Japan,
I’ve travelled the world, but I am still who I am.
*
I’m a simple man with a wandering soul,
Chasing light and stories, wherever they roll.
From the shutter’s click to the ink on my hand,
I’ve built a lifestyle just as a simple man.
*
There were nights on rooftops, with stars in my view,
And mornings in markets where the sunrise was new.
Each frame tells a tale, each word finds its home,
But my heart’s in the journey, not the throne.
*
I’ve hung my work in galleries grand,
But I’m still that dreamer with dirt on my hand.
*
I’m a simple man with a wandering soul,
Chasing light and stories, wherever they roll.
From the shutter’s click to the ink on my hand,
I’ve built a lifestyle just as a simple man.
*
Through the laughter, the heartache, the love, and the fight,
I’ve learned there’s beauty in even the darkest night.
No matter how far I come or how high I stand,
I’ll always be grounded as a simple man.
From the cities of Europe to the people of Japan,
I’ve travelled the world, but I am still who I am.
I’ve hung my work in galleries grand,
But I’m still that dreamer with dirt on my hands.
*
I’m a simple man with a wandering soul,
Chasing light and stories, wherever they roll.
From the shutter’s click to the ink on my hand,
I’ve built a lifestyle just as a simple man.
*
So here’s to the road, the tales yet untold,
To the dreams we chase, and the hearts we hold.
For all that I’ve seen and all that I am,
I’ll always stay true, I’ll always stay a simple man.

Maybe a simple man, but also a talented poet 👌
