Never ...

if a heart could speak ...

By Savannah K. WilsonPublished about a year ago 1 min read
an attempt at feelings unknown & uncharted

Never felt like this before, may never feel it again

Entered my life like a refreshing spring breeze

Did not think I would feel this, didn’t plan it

Then it happened …

Thought of you, and smiled wide like a fool

After that, couldn't shake you from thoughts

Whether awake or dreaming, there you were

Realised why ... and that you're the missing piece

Who I've searched for these longs years, waited for

From that moment I was trapped in this, in you

Wishing I could grow closer to you in every way

Talk to you, listen to you, be your port in a storm

Here's a list of what you can tell me without fear: anything

It hurts to breathe thinking about life without you

So sure you are the matching light to my own soul

One I have patiently waited for all my long years

I cannot think without thinking of your warm heart

Your kindness, your humour, your bravery, and mind

Beautiful beyond description, soul glowing out from within

I have never felt about someone how I feel about you, never

Not ever …
