Love’s Compass

Love is like a road map, all you need is a compass to guide you.

By K FPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

I’ve spent a long time

Wandering this road without a compass

In hopes I’d find where I’m going.

For what felt like forever

The soles of my shoes had finally worn out from the coarse roads that were traveled.

But the stars aligned in harmony

Bringing this beauty into my life without warning

And I can’t tell if it’s real or if I’m still dreaming.

Now, I’m hung up on the way her eyes looked at me in the sunlight,

The way her lips tasted like sweet nectar that made me high

How her smile had spread across her face

Contagious as that same smile had spread across mine.

The way her laugh was so soft

Like the touch of her hand against me

It melted the walls that once protected m my heart..

Something I never knew would ever be possible.

Every emotion rushed in like the tides of the ocean crashing upon the shoreline

And like the waves, I feel like I’m floating whenever I’m around her

The way the love slipped off our lips, I knew I had fallen for her.
