'Easy Rider' Review
The first five minutes of Dennis Hopper's Easy Rider is so perfect that at the end of it you feel like you had watched a whole movie. By the time the music kicks in, "The Pusher" from Steppenwolf, you feel like you are watching a sequel to those first five minutes.

Who Was Allen Ginsberg?
As a poet, Allen Ginsberg was able to relate his feelings on being homosexual and a marijuana smoker in his poetry, achieving the status of an almost mystic figure. He had an intense spiritual life and tried to expedite whatever came to his head, and to explore what his mind wanted to pursue.

Alcoholics Anonymous Rejects Medical Marijuana, Almost Supported LSD, and How Joe Rogan Could Have Clipped My Nuts
A few weeks ago I was sitting at my desk, typing away at yet another shit stirring story over the perils of marijuana prohibition, when I received a Twitter notice from one of my readers claiming that comedian and all around wise man Joe Rogan was on the air discussing an article I had written for High Times. Being the curious little bastard that I am, I followed the link and I'll-be-damned, sure as shit, there he was, reading a little piece of journalism I had penned back in 2013 entitled "AA Founder Believed LSD Could Cure Alcoholism."

Cannabis Cocktails, Mocktails & Tonics
My name is Warren Bobrow. I have a successful career as a brand ambassador for a boutique rum brand, so why would I go and write a book about Cannabis? Quite possibly because no one has written a book like this prior. And I really enjoy Cannabis- perhaps even more than drinking- my career is in drinking, so go figure...

The Four-Twenty Games... Yep, They're Real
If you picture what a ‘420 Games’ would look like, let’s get real ---- you’re not picturing pillars of athletic prowess. No, dedicated pot users are far more often stereotyped as out-of-shape basement dwellers, often clad in a stained t-shirt and occasionally encrusted in Cheeto dust. The only marathon they’d be training for would be a Simpsons one, right? Well . . . not so much, if you talk to the folks in charge of the Four-Twenty Games. A series of athletic events that kicked off in 2014, the Games proved a quick success, and they’ve been expanding ever since.

Marijuana Ads of the Future from the Past
The way things are going, buying marijuana will soon be as easy as buying alcohol or cigarettes. It will be interesting to see how marijuana will be advertised once it is federally legalized. There are innumerable approaches that can be taken in marketing pot. Will it be treated as if it's a health product, like aspirin? Or will it be toted as a recreational product and sold to the public like sounds systems or games? Maybe it will be packaged as exotica, like perfume. Or a status symbol, like an expensive automobile. The possibilities are endless.

Ladies of Stoner Rock on Spotify
Stoners invented heavy metal music, influenced by centuries of occult chanting witches spells and a counter culture movement that began in the early 1970s. Numerous albums covers and song lyrics hinted at the cannabis culture. Today, stoner rock bands span from the psychedelic to the hard core pounding of drums and bass into a rhythmic trip of intensity. It is the female led bands that have bound the past to the future. It is women who bind life's future to its past. It is women who lead the stoner rock evolution. The ladies of stoner rock lure us to the list of weed to smoke with your favorite leading lady.

Dr. Nathan S. Kline, was one of the key researchers who revolutionized how society views and treats mental illnesses. No amount of naysayers could stop him though.

History of Drugs in Soap Operas
Soap operas and drugs have more in common than most people would imagine. For one thing, they both can be addictive and have equal viewers to users. For another, the soaps pioneered the subject of drugs in their shows. Conservative housewives who watched the original soaps have witnessed in recent years, between tear jerks: people slipping pills in other people's drinks as if they were ice cubes; accidental (and not so accidental) drug trips, drug dealers, deaths by overdose, cocaine addictions, drug treatment centers, stolen prescriptions, and more, much more, as the world turns.
