Injustice and the Gentle Giant
About eighty years ago a giant was framed for murder. The timeline isn't exact but what we do know is this was an inside job stemming from the highest levels of government. With no real evidence of wrong doing this beautiful creature's reputation was dragged through the streets and blasted over the airwaves as the mastermind behind all the evil this country has ever faced. They vehemently professed; she's ruining your lives... her friends must be criminals... she's going to eat your babies and destroy your marriage! Eek!! Surely, a giant that big she has no faith, soul, or positive attributes to offer society.

Weed vs Alcohol Effects
I just wanted to put down some thoughts about the differences between being high and being drunk. I am not a medical professional, or a biologist, so this is just amateur philosophy in layman’s terms. Basically, the personality, or what makes you who you are, is a combination of a conscious mind known as the “Ego” and the subconscious mind, the “Id.” Alcohol seems to affect the Ego and alters inhibition and psychology. THC, however, acts on the Id, and puts your focus on your conscious and logical thought. This is why some folds, like me, wax philosophical when we smoke and ask questions we normally wouldn’t.

A Brief History of Pot
Gateway drug or non-addictive medical panacea? The pot debate has continued to stoke the passions of recreational and medicinal users and their opponents for millennia. While the fate of marijuana legalization and decriminalization hang in the balance, its medical use has been an accepted fact for centuries. Based on 2015 estimates, 22.2 million Americans listed themselves as current marijuana users – reflecting an increase in use over more than a decade [1]. So why are we so fascinated with the dried form of the plant genus, Cannabis?

Stuff That You Really Didn’t Know About Weed!
Lists promise a lot sometimes. The majority of smokers have a wide knowledge of their bud in the modern era. A connoisseur can tell the difference between Blueberry, Blue Cheese, and Triple Cheese with just the smallest of nasal inhalations while others pretend to. It’s always good to expand your knowledge about a beloved subject. The problem is simply that everybody knows George Washington grew weed and we’re all aware of the psychoactive nature of THC. It’s not secret that CBD is good for you and no one will be surprised when you tell them that cannabis used to be weaker in the past. So what can I possibly tell you that you probably don’t already know? Let me have a go! I promise you at least 1 thing that you didn't know before about the world of weed.

California's Prop 64
After nearly a century of misinformation, people have finally taken a look at the war on drugs and found that it’s got some serious problems. Especially weed, which has long been touted as a “gateway drug” that would surely lead to a life of oral sex in back alleys to pay for it. Which is, of course, absurd to anyone who knows anything about marijuana. As a result of this enlightenment, the move to legalize weed as an alternative to alcohol has gained a lot of momentum, aided by the medicinal properties inherent to the plant. California, my adopted state, passed a proposition last year that made recreational weed completely legal…"kinda".

Louis Armstrong and Marijuana
Louis Armstrong is often remembered as one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. While others have developed and elevated the art form in different and unique directions, it is undeniable that Armstrong brought his own brand of soul to this then-emerging art form. He broke boundaries as one of the first African-American celebrities to receive near-universal acclaim for his talents.

Analysis of Reefer Madness
Few movies are as ridiculous as Reefer Madness, a 1936 "documentary" featuring fictionalized characters who, after smoking marijuana once or twice, behave in a manner that would only appear realistic if you've never seen a person get high in your life before. Which, of course, is probably what happened.

History of Hashish in the 19th Century
Hashish, also known as hash, is a form of cannabis that cannot burn on its own. Well, it can, as all things can burn, but it does not catch fire as easily as regular pot does. It is usually smoked in either a pipe or rolled up in a joint.

Why Was Pot Criminalized in the First Place?
Cannabis criminalization is slowly being repealed throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada. With researchers proving that science reports were made biased by government bodies in the past, many people are beginning to wonder why good ol' Mary Jane was villainized and criminalized in the first place.
