Unearth your broken bayonet.

In spite of the combat that's passed

We mustn't rest; no, not just yet.

This battle is not our last.

~

The road ahead is never ending,

with winding paths of suffering.

Though easier to remain un-standing,

may the war ahead still beckon me.

~

Weather this storm that wears the flesh,

being careful not to lose your head;

and when sodden earth gives way to rest,

Up, you army of undead.

~

Against a mountain of our losses.

It is painless to give in,

but even if they mount like Colossus;

Rise, rise to fight again!

~

Rise, rise up by the masses.

Bodies driven by force of will.

Rise, you phoenix, from the ashes.

Zombies on the battlefield.
