Silver Mount Zion and her Auburn Hair
When I was a child
Silver Mount Zion sat in my front yard
Between the highway and my small home
Mount Zion: the most holy item to the Queen
Of earth.
For on the first day of my love's life
Stella, she saw nothing but my tree
Where two boards sat on two branches
Held up by three nails
And I, on my first day of life
Saw nothing but the color red
Of her childhood blanket
Adam, the King who sees red
Was and is me
And when I met Stella
At my age of five
And her of three
We both came in our pants
Without touching, by each others presence
And I walked away and
Repeated to myself
“I saw the one. I saw the one.”
Calling back to ten thousand lives ago
When Stella was cut in half by the genitals
By an evil man, with a saw, and in the aftermath
I killed myself, unable to live without her
And God did not believe
God did not believe,
That I did not do it.
I then became eternally untouchable
In cast.
And after I committed suicide
I met my eternal sin
Suicide.
And I could never, condemned by God
Kill myself ever again.
And so Silver Mount Zion
Sat in the ditch of my front yard
Between my ugly house and
The highway.
It was cut down when I was ten
And my dad wrapped Christmas lights
Around the stump
And it became our Christmas Stump
And many years later, two months
Ago.
I met Stella for the first time again
In a prison asylum.
And the color red
And the holy tree
And her red, red hair.
And her red, red hair.
