She came to me,
Like a bullet in my spine.
Firing pinks and greens through my sertraline veins
Like a clear blue sky kissing my eyes.
She is not defined by what is palpable,
I see her though she is undiscovered
Masking behind a bitter facade.
I feel her touch on the center of my palms,
Drawing lines down my wrists
A healing glow.
For only I know the pain she has received,
With only warmth for others to perceive.
She is stubborn and golden
And frightened and radiant,
Yet unseen by many.
I feel her across my skin.
Pale and moon-like,
I see her within.
