Some left you as you were.
Some brought happiness.
Someone came to collect from you.
Moments of anguish arrived and passed.
You have moved on and forgotten.
You embraced joy and laughter.
You've realized that.
The globe rotates.
However, you remain where you are.
Struggles came and passed.
They gave you strength.
a wise intellect.
Now you're brilliant.
You can do things.
Happiness cannot change who you are.
You confront life challenges.
With wisdom.
You are a strong person.
You are an intelligent individual.

Once depressed!
Several years ago, I was depressed, and I isolated myself. The feeling was one of self-judgment, as if I wasn't doing enough with my life. I felt as if I had no value or contribution to make to others. Friends avoided me since I didn't have anything to contribute. I was simply a human with empty pockets. I frequently felt worthless and deserving of no affection or respect, and I thought no one cared. Which was true; nobody cared.

A Dart at Dusk
Seconds ago, the sullen sun set on the two of us… my exuberant furry companion and me. A fresh breeze embraces us, delivering welcome relief from the day’s oppressive heat. His typical stumbling and staggering along — apace with a sloth — has turned into trip-trapping, high-stepping, almost skipping along.
