Your heart has become an abyss
A reflection on the vitriol towards the queer community
You can call me a terrorist if you want
Your fear is requiring your mindset
I will fight for them as long as I am able
A corrupted administration will never take my passion from me
You are incapable of love
If you had a heart once, you’ve mutilated it
And replaced it with bullets
Set to destroy those relationships around you
Your ammo is filled with hate and envy
You will never take the rainbow from us
You will never replace our love with pages
Pages of verse you don’t understand
Pages for power to make up for your emptiness
I’m done feeling sorry for you, now all I feel is disgust
Protect the elite, as if they don’t have blood on their hands
Dripping from every orifice, their greedy mouths can’t get enough
You see them and you want to be them
Desperate to satiate the hunger you feel
Call me a terrorist if you want
Use your pages to doctor your endless wounds
They’re gaping and you don’t know it
But we all see it
You terrorize yourself because you don’t want to acknowledge the holes
About the Creator
vibrant ghost
I’m a teacher who is just trying to figure out how to make sense of the world around me.
I usually write about social issues with a focus on disability and social justice.
