You with love without Me

Racing around my mind

All these voices

All these emotions

Even feeling

It within me

I couldn't find

Love, but

I needed

To find myself

First

Before I found you

-

I should give full credit of this poem to divine intervention, who dropped these words into my pen from the roof of the small bookstore I'm writing this from. I considered playing around with these words and structure, however it felt like trying to fixing something not broken, however broken these words may feel to some. This poem moved me profoundly as I wrote it, and all I hope is that it does the same for you, the reader.

I really like the message behind this one, and the idea of self-love being necessary before you can love somebody else. A great read 👏

  • You are a poet! It should fall without to much intervention. Free verse is my first choice always. I felt where your heart is at, that's a good thing. Congratulations!
