You've earned your rest

Philosophy

By Swords and Feathers Published 3 years ago 1 min read

You've earned your rest master,

You have earned your small measure of peace,

My test is I don't know what is to come after,

Do watch over your eternal student so I may live a honored life,

You once told me happiness is space between two moments of suffering,

And life is between two moments of death,

I understood little the power your words bring,

I understood even less your words 'knowing is not enough,

I'm beginning to feel the weight of your words,

The weight of my heart is a burden to bear

I feel the weight of the world,

But you've taught me how to be a warrior,

A warrior is not swayed torments,

His mind is always still,

And when the light is faint,

He remembers he shines from within,

I understand your words well master,

Trust in me to follow your footsteps,

Though your journey is over,

I will not stop
