You touched my heart with gentle hands,

And opened up its hidden lands,

Where love and joy could freely flow,

And pain and sorrow lose their hold.

Your kindness was a soothing balm,

That healed the hurts and kept me calm,

And in your presence I could feel,

A sense of peace that was surreal.

You touched my heart and showed me light,

When darkness seemed to rule the night,

And in your eyes I saw a hope,

That gave me strength to carry on.

I'm grateful for the gift you gave,

For all the ways you helped me brave,

And though our paths may now diverge,

My heart will keep your touch preserved.
