When I wrote this I was searching for a title and I happened across this song by Demi Lovato and it spoke to how I feel when I write. It feels like I'm screaming into the void and none hear me. My words are taking forever to land but I am hoping light years from now, I will be famous (LOL). And people will look back and wonder what the author was thinking. Unintentionally, when I recite this verbally or in my head, if read as rap-it works best after the 7th line and after "persecutions" the last 8 lines read in contemplation-or read any way you like. I'm just the writer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------You know nothing about me,

but you want to judge me...

first.

Before a word is even spoken

You don't ask a question about me,

but you glare at me...

up and down.

Before you look into my windows

you don't see anything about me

that fits your mold...

your type..

Yet judging deny judging.

You have not talked about me,

much less.

to me..

yet you say wait

Meanwhile..

my mind whirls and twists

like detritus in the winds..

Do I wait

for your approval,

your commiseration we are plural

though not the same

also not so different

That is lame..

Need I be more

than just a human?

Must I be clone..

to your inhuman..

expectations of emotions,

your beliefs

and persecutions?

Could we not just sit together..

In silence like old friends..

Instead of new enemies...

But if..enemies?

Can we talk,

share a drink,

Break down walls..

Maybe think?

Peace
