You told me that you loved me

Without saying a single word

You told me that you loved me

by your genuine curiosity

to understand my soul

the complexities all intertwined in it

every little fact,

every mundane interest of mine, I tell you

you harbor it in your mind

when I least expect it, you acknowledge

a random little fact

an interest of mine

I was sure you wouldn't remember

You told me that you loved me

by always checking in

a simple hello

turned into simple conversations

becoming far more meaningful than you will ever know

You told me that you loved me

by the way your eyes light up

with each fleeting glance you give me

with every joke we share

you might joke and deny your feelings

but that light in your eyes doesn't lie

I know what I saw

You told me that you loved me

Without saying a single word
