You’re the bridge that won’t burn

You’re the bridge that won’t burn,

You’re the lesson my heart won’t learn,

The page I can’t turn.

You push me away,

I still find reasons to stay,

You made it plain,

You don’t feel the same,

You run, I chase,

We end up the same place,

You’re my addiction,

You’re my obsession.

I have a confession,

My heart is complicit in

my heartache,

Don’t know how much I can take,

Its like suffering is ingrained in my DNA.

I’m the moth drawn to your flame,

This desire refuses to be tame.

Your hatred of me,

is an

adrenaline rush

full of lust.
