desire that burns

I am a slave to my desires,

Even though my heart tires,

My addiction to opposition,

Your hatred of me ignites a fire of desire,

it consumes my soul,

It takes its toll,

I fear I will always be alone,

I am consumed by people who have no need of me,

Consumed by people who cannot see me

Consumed by things I’m not meant to have,

Love, compassion, desire,

That's why I let the fire I have a desire,

Reduce me to embers,

Only hallow memories remind,

Once the adrenaline is gone,

I crash from the rush of the lust.
